  1. Thank you all very much for the pleasant comments.
  2. This was an MPC War Eagle kit that came with giant fender flares to make it into a road racer. I didn't like that and was lucky enough to build a stock version - except for the wheels/tires. The kit tires are extremely wide and I'll use them on another build. I used HOK midnight blue pearl and 2 part urethane clear.
  3. Cool little buggy.
  4. I worked part time at a Sears Hardware store for several years. A guy came in and bought the most expensive lawn tractor we had. After summer was over and winter starting to settle in, he returned the well used tractor and bought the biggest snowblower we had. Come Spring, he returned the snowblower and bought a tractor. He was in that mode for several years. Nothing store management could do with the big "Satisfaction Guaranteed" sign hanging above the door.
  5. Just got home from Wal-Mart. There was nobody checking receipts at the door. Maybe the Illinois governor's were out shopping that day?

  7. I tend to like hot rods with full fenders - without holes.
  8. Got it and replied, Ed.
  9. Didn't see a PM, Ed. It's a terrific pic.
  10. Today is 2 days in a row without rain and I was able to get the Mustang out for another ride today - and got some yardwork done.
  11. If you were doing an airbrush, I'd suggest Nason 2 part clear.
  12. Have you tried Tamiya clear, Kevin? I think it's TS13. When I was using rattle cans, that was my choice for clear coats. I believe Tamiya TS65 is a clear pearl and is also very nice. Any Tamiya color seems to have a better spray pattern than Testors.
  13. Sounds like you're almost bionic, Paul. Sure hope things work out for you.
  14. I used a couple of their colors and their clear coat kit. Wonderful, wonderful paint although quite expensive. For about the same price I can get twice as much HOK paint. The colors seem to be for exotic European cars. Gorgeous colors though and the paint lays down real nice. The clear comes in the same size bottle with a little tube of activator attached to the side. You need to mix and use it all at one time. I wasted a lot of it and will stick with NASON clear from now on.
  15. Nice pic, Ed. If you don't mind, I might just copy it and print it.
  16. Pretty good stuff and it's environmentally friendly. The Dollar General store by me carries it.
  17. So far so good - no rain. Supposed to see the sun tomorrow and that just might mean Mustang day.
  18. Those wheels look pretty darn good. When will you be taking orders?
  19. Thank you Tommy.
  20. Try ignition wires and boot material from Crazy Scale Auto Parts, Rick.
  21. Thank you Joe & Dominik.
  22. Forum is working OK for me right now. Please get busy with MCM issue #195. Thanks for this forum and the magazine, Gregg. And hopefully your back will be better soon.
  23. Getting more rain.
