  1. Oops! Maybe it was baking powder. Sorry. There's a difference in baking powder and baking soda, but I don't know what it is.
  2. A '58 Nomad. Very interesting build.
  3. That's really cool and a great way to get the modeling message out. Way to go, Peter. Will you be providing autographed pics for my collection? So far I have Flo (Progressive Insurance) and Natalia (WWE diva).
  4. Somebody once posted here that hitting CA with baking soda is the same as hitting CA with an accelerator. Why not just use gap filling CA?
  5. Your builds are always over the top, John. Nice gasser.
  6. Sorry to hear about the loss of your father-in-law. Hopefully the water didn't freeze in your house. Did you get your son home or on his way? He's a USAF firefighter, right? It may to be hard to believe about now, but things will get better - just hang in there.
  7. That's some fancy paint. I like where this build is going.
  8. I like posting my builds and getting comments - good and bad. When I respond to anothers build, I try to keep the comments positive. Every so often I'll make a negative comment, but it's not meant to be mean or vindictive. The purpose behind my comment(s) is to encourage fellow builders. If something is so obviously wrong that even I can spot it, I'll let the builder know. If you've viewed my builds, you are aware that I'm not the greatest builder around - far from it. But I keep trying and learning from all of you and I thank you.
  9. The boiler looks to me like an upside down pill bottle. I can't believe the stuff you're able to do, Dr. Cranky. Looks fantastic.
  10. Black on a '62 bubbletop is hard for me. I keep seeing a neighbors brand new one with a SS interior. It was Honduras Maroon. The black looks good though. I like the wheels too.
  11. Now you guys made me feel guilty so I went out and turned the heater on in the shop. I'll be out there shortly to work on my mile high Dodge D50, '56 Ford pickup, and the '68 Dodge Dart hemi.
  12. Too cold for me. I suppose I could get out there, turn on the heater, and go back out in 30 minutes or so.
  13. It's 10:00am here and up to a scorchin' 36 degrees. Too cold to go out to the shop and I have things to get done out there.
  14. What are you using for the walls, Phil? It looks almost translucent.

    Mako Shark

That Vette is looking fine. I almost expected it to be shortened.
  16. Another VW shorty. I love these things.
  17. Nice work. Super paint.
  18. I really like those shortened VW vans. They're so cute.
  19. Seems everybody is into dios all of a sudden - and I love it! Like your idea(s) Phil. Let's see more.
  20. Lookin' real sweet, Stasch.
  21. Yo Nick, I was wondering if you might be able to do me a personal favor. It's going into the 20s tonight because of a massive cold front front coming down from Canada. Could you try to keep the cold weather up there? Please? Thanks. Isn't Dr. Cranky's industrial base looking great?

    VW Lug Bug

Somehow I missed that kit. Your build is very cool.
  23. I used teal and dark grey for the interior of a '57 Chevy recently. It's been posted in "Under Glass' if you care to take a look.
  24. MCG has some gorgeous items. I use his wire looms exclusively. Appears to be real heavy into PE. MCG had a sale going on but am not sure if it's still on.

    VW Lug Bug

This was a kit? It didn't have to be shortened?
