  1. 1/11/11 should be a good day - I turn 63.
  2. This is going to be different. I gotta keep watching.
  3. I've been having the same problem. Maybe the server partied too much last night/this morning.
  4. Looking good, Rob. Can't wait to see more.
  5. There was an article in the Reader's Digest several years ago about weather forecasting. The people on TV had ~40% accuracy while the Farmer's Almanac was about 80% accurate. Why I don't have a Farmer's Almanac, I can't tell you.
  6. Since we a had sunny day and about 78 degrees, I love it. I,m still trying to forget the snow storm of 1967 in Chicago.
  7. Couple of days were very cold David G. Right now it's sunny and 63 going to 74. The weekly forecast is showing mid 70s daytime and mid 50s at night. I'm going to take advantage of the warmth and get the outdoor Christmas decorations taken down. I don't think the reindeers like the warm sunshine.
  8. But there's always a good side! Think of the work the local body shop(s) will have soon. Maybe they'll have to hire additional people too - more jobs.
  9. Nick, please keep the cold weather and snow up there with you.
  10. Looks real good. I like what you did with the exhaust.
  11. I don't build any drag machines but those tires do look interesting. I really want to see the wheels this guy comes up with.
  12. Did you get the snow because of cold temps and winds from the north? We were 17 degrees Tuesday morning because of the weather from the north. I think Canada should keep their cold weather to themselves. I've already mentioned this issue to Nick.
  13. This looks like a project worth keeping an eye on. What is the source of those wheels?
  14. Congratulations on the new job and the scrap ile, Lee. A friend of mine is a plumber up north - UDT Plumbing (Urinals,Drains, Toilets), and he told me the 4 rules of plumbing. 1) Stink goes up. 2) DooDoo goes down. 3) Don't bite your fingernails. 4) Friday is payday. Enjoy your new job and Happy New Year.
  15. Hey Tony, somebody on here is posting his build of a Speed Racer and is using LED Christmas tree lights with a 9 volt battery. I'd provide the exact post to you but I'm don't do the search feature here very well. Okay. Here it is. Mach 5 with working lights and posted by wisdonm.
  16. I'm gonna watch this one, Brian. I built that kit a few months ago and hope to get another in my hands in 2011.
  17. How about that stuff that's used for signs. It's like corregated plastic. Cuts easy with a sharp knife but I have no idea if any glue would stick to it.
  18. I use Evergreen plastic rod for axles.
  19. Interesting build going on here, Don. Why didn't you use Evergreen tubing instead of the aluminum? The Evergreen could have remained in place.

    69 nova

Lloks like you nailed that Nova, Jason. Nice job. Camera wise I use a Kodak EasyShare M753. It's small, light and connects to the computer very quickly & easily. There's also the Model Car Builders of Florida club that we've started. If you're interested, send me a PM with complete name and a "real" email address.
  21. Gorgeous paint job.
  22. Super looking build. I'm in the market for a 1:1 Samurai but haven't found the right one yet.
  23. That is smooth and pretty. Any engine & interior pics? Welcome to the forum, Paul.
  24. Could it be my monitor? The body looks lavender and the interior grey and light blue. Either way, I like it.
  25. Please take pics of the process (so maybe others can copy the technique).
