  1. I'm going to have to get me one of Wagon Rod kits one of these days. Keep building, Lyle. I like what you're doing with this one.
  2. Won't miss that bird in the parking lot. Nice looking. What's the source of the boat?
  3. That's a great looking build so far, Lyle. Did the interior panels come with it? Is it me or the pic - the dashboard looks very narrow but detailed real good.

Very nice looking build. Is that a kit or aftermarket resin? I'd like to build one.
  5. Nice build. I like the lines of that car and am thinking a hot rod Mercedes.
  6. Another interesting build, Tom. I like what you did to the door panels and the console.
  7. I try to keep busy, Greg. I've dragging around a shelving unit that I scrounged from JC Penny when we did a remodel at a store 20 years ago. It's gone and replaced with steel racks in the garage. The old unit was screwed to the wall and the holes had to be patched so I ended up painting the whole wall. After the Christmas decorations came down I re-installed some Malibu floodlights on the front of the house. And then a friend gave me another set so I installed an additional 10 tier lights. Washed my truck, went to the VA, visited the dentist (no cavities), and did some yardwork. Gotta stay busy while retired.
  8. Welcome Rob. Enjoy the best model site around.
  9. Those wheels/tires look right at home. You need to change the spare to match.
  10. Earlier this week I picked up a set of riffler files from the LHS and today I bought a brandy new vacuum cleaner - it's a Dyson, but not the ball.
  11. I emailed Gerald at Hawkeye and he replied that the powders can be applied over any paint. For chrome you should put the powder over either white or black. Who is going to be first to try it out? I replied back to Gerald asking if a clear coat can be applied without ruining the finish (like Alclad and Gensing).
  12. I don't get it. First you have to apply their paint and then the powder? That would make it like using the HW Japan gensing powder to replicate chrome (but it doesn't). I didn't see a chrome finish at the Hawkeye site.
  13. Oh that's a pretty car and I love the paint.
  14. Hey Jeff - the forum is up and running so get something built and posted. Welcome.
  15. Maybe the site was taken down on purpose for a few days so that we would appreciate it more? Can't be! Who would really be that evil? Yo Gregg - still waiting for the beautiful MCM T-shirt to arrive.
  16. I ordered some aftermarket parts; went to the LHS and bought some curved riffler files; did some work on my '62 Buick 225, '54 Ford pickup, '68 Dodge Dart, and started a '32 Ford 5 window coupe; waited (still am) for my brandy new MCM T-shirt. And I visited the SA site a few times - don't like it nearly as much as here.
  17. Way back when I used to make radiator hoses by taking the kit hose and wrap it with some very thick black sewing thread.
  18. Love that body style. I had a 1980 Capri with the Ford small block/4 speed. Very quick little car.
  19. Looking good.
  20. I just don't think it takes much to keep making left turns, so I don't waste my time with NASCAR. Smokey Yunick was the greatest cheater in stock car racing. No wait!! Smokey didn't cheat, he came up with ideass that weren't outlawed yet. He'd do little things like a pice of tin plate riveted to the body and rear bumper so the air would flow over instead being blocked by the bumper. He would slant the windshield back for better flow (officials caught on and made templates to check).
  21. Super looking Mustang.
  22. How do you build them so fast? Looks good in gray.
  23. I hope all this upgrading and site slowness doesn't affect the delivery of the MCM T-shirt I ordered a couple of weeks ago. The plan for a wet bar sounds great. I'll have a Jim Beam & RC, tall glass, single shot, thank you very much.
  24. How the heck are you going to make a button tufted interior? I'd be really interested in a tutorial on it.
