  1. I had a VW Bug painted red by Earl Schweib. I was aasked if I wanted the wheels painted the same color and replied yes. So they painted the wheels red - and then when back and brush painted the tires black because nobody masked off the tires.
  2. Yo Agent G - maybe our trip to Vegas in September helped the economy and saved your job. Nice thought, huh? Have a Merry Christmas and a safe & prosperour New Year.
  3. Keep goin' Roland. You have less than 25 hours before it's Christmas Eve. What are those 3 things with the holes in them?
  4. Tragic - yeah, Rob. But if you're loosely hunting around for something to buy (like me), prices are way through the ceiling. Don't these sellers realize we're in a recession? I don't want much - just a '34 Ford 5 window coupe, full fenders, small block Chevy with a carb (no fuelie), auto, leather interior (preferably light grey), AC, and I'd like the whole car to be purple. Am I looking for too much?
  5. Pictures. Gotta have pics or it didn't happen.
  6. Loss of jobs, lower incomes, foreclosures, and on and on. But think about it - you're still here reading this. That means you're still alive and that's much better than the alternative. Enjoy what you have as long as you can.
  7. Gorgeous. Love that shiny paint.
  8. Better get going if you plan to finish for Christmas.
  9. Looking good, Dave and am happy to see that you're active and doing well. The wife of a good friend had a massive stroke last week. No brain activity. He pulled the plug on the machine keeping her alive. We leave at 1:00pm today for the funeral/burial. We just saw Deb at the Florida National Cemetery on December 11 to help with Wreaths Across America. You Dave - and everybody else - take care of yourselves and try to stay healthy and active.
  10. Pretty cool idea and the build looks terrific.
  11. Excellent! Love the engine details.
  12. Looking real good. Maybe a casting person would like to make copies of it.
  13. Patience is not one of my virtues. I didn't mean it to sound like a complaint, just a concern that msomething was not right. The new homepage looks wonderful.
  14. The website appears to have problems/issues. It looks like there's a new home page and asks you to sign in. I did and it says there is no account like that. But I click on "FORUM" and everything looks the same. So what's going on?
  15. Thanks guys. It was a project. The pics come up fine for me, Earl. Maybe their playing (updating) with the website again.
  16. Here's my Dodge D50 in HOK Oriental Blue with Tamiya clear TS65 over it. The suspension (springs, shocks, front axle) is all scratch built. I used pinheads as the spring bolts. Wheels are beadlocks and the tires are Desert Dog and both are from Ma's Resin. I drilled out the wheels and added air valves I used that Ginsing stuff on the rims and then painted the inner rims. Engine is wired and plumbed. The headers are solder going into Evergreen collectors. The bed is a piece of balsa stained, cleared, and strips of chrome tape put down before installation. The original taillight locations were filled, a rolled pan constructed and new taillights located.

Try the BMF stuff, Donald. Worse case is that you just peel it off. Your bubbletop looks good in black.
  18. Super looking Dart, Cruz. Have you ever used "The Detailer" washes for panel lines?
  19. If you're going to Lowe's or HD, you want to consider looking at the ceramic tiles too. There are some that could look very well as a shop floor. I don't weather so I don't know how anything would adhere to the tile.
  20. Warping is the issue I had with foamboard when I shot the planned floor with that fleck paint. I had to toss the piece. I then used some floor tiles I had laying around. Next time I'm going to try that Gatorboard stuff.
  21. Ignition wires from Scale Dreams.
  22. Ignition wires from Scale Dreams.
  23. Merry Christmas to you Jim and good luck with the surgery. The heck with turkey - make some chocolate milk shakes and use a flex straw. Get better quickly.
  24. I just buy ignition wire from Scale Dreams. There's a variety of colors and they look good.
  25. Welcome, John. Intros are always nice. Are you planning to post pics of each of those builds? They look very interesting. I can't help with the avatar because my wife helped me with mine and I don't know what she did.
