  1. I am uploading my pics from today, Friday, as I write this. They will be at: IPMS Photos If you get the Page Not Found message, give it a while, as they are being uploaded via Stick Modem It was a good turnout today Pete Johnson's 935 is in final form, and it is WOW oh WOW!!! Pete, what a great job!!! Mark Anderson's McLaren was incredible, and it's 1/43 scale!! All the way from Puerto Rico, Jorge Mustafa's Ferrari F-189 was one of the nicest ones of that car I have ever seen done. The number of cars may have been smaller than what we are used to at our big shows, but the quality was top notch! It was great to see the AZ gang there, sorry I was so in an out all day. Or should I say up and down. Matthew Usher from Fine Scale is shooting right next to me, and I always enjoy spending time and talking with my long-time friend. Hope to see a lot of you there tomorrow. Great show, and thanks for all the support. Don't forget to get your new Black '32 Five-Window shirts while you are there too!
  2. Drinks: cups of water, no ice Food: I will pick up on the way down from Vegas, what do you guys call it?, oh yeah, Road Kill. I am at the airport, on the way to Vegas, then down to Phoenix. I know, I know, why don't I land in Phoenix? It's that darn new immigration law. I don't have a passport. You know, Obama land ain't part of the U.S....... Okay, I pau...
  3. Raul scored!!!!!!
  4. Twenty minutes left on the Jacket Bidding War!!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290457822563&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_556wt_1139
  5. There's a fantastic club in the Philly/Jersey area that I am blessed to friends with. Hopefully the gang will post some info here. Come on Uncle Bobby, Ariel, Doc, Mike whatshizname, Greg, Nick, and Tommy, you guys up, or drinking the blue stuff????
  6. I don't get it??? Well, I don't have a TV, so that would explain most of it.....
  7. Thanks, Raul Are you going to be at the San Diego show on Sunday? I know that's the reason a lot of guys are doing both: it has to be either one or the other, unless you're a dedicated Plastic Fanatic!!! Heh, I threw that one in there good, yeah? Maybe could bring it there for auction to help out Darryl's show? I am supposed to be the big sponsor of the show, but the saw couldn't cut me in half to be at both... Danno, Danno, Danno....
  8. Table: Can't Remember Award: Sent Check Air Fare: Don't Ask Hotels: See above Gas: sorry, it slipped out... Total cost: Priceless. I mean Priceline... Well, for one night anyway....
  9. I just got notice that Tax Demons in Phoenix are REQUIRING all vendors to fill out, apply, and pay for tax license/permit. I have an outstanding bench warrant in Phoenix and don't want to apply for permit. Just kidding, thought I would shake up the forum some, since our instigators are gone. No, Danno, not investigators, you're still da one! Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, time for another pill.... hold on... k, pau Now, yes, I think that the ostification of the originality with the permanance of diversificaiton for the altimationa.... what the ?????? sorry, hurry up pill...... k. I back Or front .... Man, this guy is losing it. yups and he's talking to himself... yup and he answers... yups he's weird... yup Okay With all seriousness aside...
  10. Problem with that is I pay for jackets from my pocket, and the subs are through the office. The office does the reading, I do the wearing :-)
  11. I just looked at the Pocher kit again, it looks like it even includes the transaxle, and rear suspension parts!!! I may remove it from eBay I think a Three-Window would be bestest, no? Or one of the bodies from our late-friend, Mr. George Z's Five-Window.
  12. I was wondering what you guys thought on using the Pocher Ferrari 1/8 scale Testarosa engine for a power plant in a '32 1/8 scale Ford? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290457972419&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT#ht_667wt_1139 I have it on eBay, but was thinking, heh, stupid, that may be a good motor for a hot rod" Thoughts?
  13. Heh, it's bald dummy, get it right you dog, I mean wolf.... :-) How's my girlfriend doing? You keeping her warm until I get back there? I do have the "new" black t-shirts in Large, just not the "new new" Now, no, that's not some new Hawaiian term, it's plain ol' bald me, not getting his two brain cells working in harmony No, not eHarmony, geez, leave me alone.. New = Jairus' new '32 Five-Window on the back, with NO front chest logo. New New = same as above, with red/white MCM logo on chest. Okay, I pau....
  14. Oops, TYPO! Fixed it. Coffee mugs pic was in the last issue. Have to order minimum of 24, but I would like to order more, as the shipping alone will kill me. I will see if they can ship to someone on mainland and I can bring back on the plane. The cost of shipping is more than cost per mug. Go figure!!! It's like that wooden toolchest I got last year. On eBay, it was $95, shipping to Hawaii was $110!!! So, my bud Darryl picked it up from the local Harbor Freight for $90, brought it to show in Cali, and I took home as checked baggage on my flight for free! Sometimes it works out Now, where was I? Oh, yeah, creating a sham...... (thanks for the bids, hope you get it, would be a great deal.) I will be making more for the fall season. The new new black T-Shirts will be with me at Phoenix, however only in X-Large. I know, what a dummy.....
  15. But heh, what can I say? I have one Double X (XX-Large, 2X-L, or however you type it) Model Cars Magazine jacket for sale on eBay right now HELP GREGG!. The sale of this jacket will help pay for the table and booth at the Phoenix IPMS Nationals. So, if you are feeling generous, and need a 2X-Large jacket, please feel free to click the link and enter the bidding war for this last jacket of the season.
  16. I'm sorry, but I'm probably going to get banned. Did you get that Camaro in a trade here on the forum? oh man, that was bad, I'm sorry.... Seriously, what a great way to salvage a body. Great photos too. Nice work So, it's all Cranky's fault, yeah?
  17. I know for a fact that Jairus still smells.... Mark Taylor is jumping in on our Resin Talk column, and there will be a great new look and feel to this section of our hobby One thing I have found out, the hard way, is never soak any resin part in any cleaner for too long. I almost ruined the gorgeous '50 Cadi Custom from Modelhaus by leaving it in 90% rubbing alcohol and then oven cleaner too long It got so soft, and was almost ruined. So, less is more. Try the "less toxic" ones first, like bleach, Simple Green, or others. Then, sparingly, try Easy Off, and then if that don't work, the 90% rubbing alcohol. The best stuff in the world I learned from John Oszajca is the Easy Lift Off, a railroad model product, that most well-stocked hobby shops carry. But this stuff will eat your resin, super quick It's best to dab it, and wipe it or wash it off. Whatever you do, DON"T USE BRAKE FLUID ON RESIN. I lost my '53 Buick to that fatal mistake. Hope this helps, and be watching for a great new Resin Talk coming soon. k, I pau
  18. Unfortunately, the "Views" are not an accurate count of the actual times a thread was looked at. It acts like "impressions" for pay per click ad campaigns. The way the logs work with the board, every time the thread is looked at it, it not only goes back to the new content, but it takes the cookies from everyone who looked at the site before, and adds that the count, plus, for each image that is loaded, that counts as a count, and that goes on and on exponentially (Jairus, I know, big word...) I'm not knocking the thread at all, I love it, and I want to see it in print, for sure It's just the way algorithms are, logs, and cookies, it's hard, if not impossible, to get an accurate count of how many times a thread was looked at, by how many different people. The stats for the forum are in the millions, per month. I could use that to brag about how many hits it gets, but it's not accurate. I should try and see about getting accurate page counts for posts, and I think there's a setting on the Admin that lets me do this, but that's not something I have time to fiddle with. So, page counts begone, and let the building continue. I hope some of this made sense. If not, just slap me on the side of the head when you see me next.
  19. Heh, this is supposed to be all about me, GET IT! ME ME ME No one else ME!!!!! Now, get back to worshiping ME!!!!! hehehehehehe Great build my friend. But, you have to remember, you have to pay Harry per click. His address and account number are available by sending $1,000, in certified funds to ......
  20. Gregg will be there.... IN SPIRIT!!!!! Wish I could The tour may be over for this year. We'll see what happens this week. Kenny, I do have the contest package that I will send out to you very soon. I was worried that the show was this month, and I messed up, AGAIN. To all the show guys who I have messed up on with ads, postings, and what nots, I'm sorry I'm such a dofus (can I say that here?)
  21. mi pana, mui bueno!!!
  22. my bad When I did the original registration fields, there was/is a field for model manufacturers I think I made it so that spam/robots could not add automatic entries to the fields, and had to follow certain "rules" for that field. So, one of the no no's for that field was probably a hyphen, or maybe the Johan name was not in the result field. I know, what is he talking about? GET OFF THE MEDS, GREGG!!!!!
  23. Ghostman, can you please add your name to your signature line or in your profile? Thanks.
