Great work Felix, and welcome to the forum. Very subtle and well-done with the rust and such.

Dave, let me know if you need anything. And let me (and all of your ohana here)know how you are doing. Keep up the positive attitude.

Low-mileage '85 VW for sale
Gregg replied to sjordan2's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
My luck I would get rear ended... and the guy would have no insurance.... and State Farm would deny my claim..... AGAIN!!!!! -
David, welcome to the forum. As you can see, you can find a lot of good and quick answers here on the forum. Don't be afraid to ask questions, no matter what it is. We all love to share our hobby, and don't let the lack of local hobby shops get you down. We also have eModelCars online FREE auction web site for your model car needs. It may be small, but it's free, and a lot of the guys here use it. Plus, I know the owner For anything imported, check out my friend Kevin's store, Strada Sports Online Kevin has almost everything you could possibly want or need online. Hobby Link Japan also carries a million or so imported (to us) kits, parts, and goodies, but the shipping is expensive unless you can get a whole bunch of stuff and spread the cost out over all of them. Good luck, and enjoy your new home here at MCM!

Very well done!!! Can you send some high-res photos of it and the build along the way? Thanks!

Welcome Matt! If you are taking photos along the way, I hope you are shooting and saving them in high resolution Who knows, you may even convince that crazy guy in Hawaii to run a story on this incredible build!

I think he was referring to the moving engine, not operating engine Augie did. Also, good friend Charlie Ryder from Texas built a complete, front to back (engine, pistons, trans, driveshaft, rear-end), rotating drivetrain, from plastic and beer cans! (not in that order) Sorry everyone took over your thread here my friend. One thing on the hinges. It is just my personal opinion, but I don't like the brass rod/tube-style of door hinges. They seem so big and out of place. I know they are the easiest ones to do, but they have been done to death. With your talents and skills, I would like to see some realistic in-scale and operating hinges, just like on the real deals! Bob and Shiryl make some (Model Car Garage and Detail Master), that work pretty good with some good soldering skills. Okay, I pau Build on my friend!!!!

I LOVE IT!!!!! Model CarToons!

This is too weird. I am a book freak. On a good night, I can read a book a night. I get into an author, and try to read every single one of his books. My recent literary endeavor has been Robert B. Parker, and the Spenser series. I love this series, and the off-shoots that he has done I did not know there was a movie/series on this. I will have to get it. Keep us posted on the build, maybe can do a feature on it. Yes, I play favorites, so what????

A tribute to a great modeler and his wife

That brings back some memories, and tears as well. I remember going there once or twice. I was amazed, and still am. Rennee is dear to my heart, I can't imagine what she had to go through. And she is one tough cookie to boot. Yes, Moose will be missed, as will a lot of our ohana. That's the sad thing about this "job." I get to be real good friends with so many great people that when Mother Nature comes calling them home, the pain is deep. I can't tell you how many great friends I have lost over the years. All of this because we play with toys..... Go figure. Thanks for the post, I really do appreciate it. -
I'm so jealous I wish I had time to build Keep up the building and the positive attitude of OUR hobby It is greatly appreciated.

Sensitive? That is far from the issues that were there. Let's just stick to the facts, please.

How can I print topic for future reference?
Gregg replied to bigmikevee's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
On the bottom of the page, it says: Share This Page There is a print icon. You can also save it, share it, email it, and I think Facebook it. Thanks for bringing this up. I just tried to Facebook it, and the IP Board icon shows up instead of mine. I will work on that. -
I was just thinking about you my friend! Great to see you still building.

No, this was beyond the mentality/ability of the threats before. This is a world-wide hack from what seems to be a Turk group. They are good though No damage done So, advanced warnings. There will be delays on the forum as it is upgraded and backed up. I may move the whole site to a different directory. If you do ever find it moved, and it don't link to the new site, just check the home page, ModelCarsMag.com, or course, Facebook. Makes me have to work on new site now. -

Sorry it took a while to post this one, just getting back on my feet. I got this from Terry at Flashpoint Motorsport when I was in San Diego last month. This is the coolest 1/16 Willys Pro Mod I have ever seen! Wait, it may be the ONLY 1/16 Pro Mod Willys out there! I believe they run $40. I will post the info on ordering in the morning. I just wanted to tease you all!

Can you have Rick contact me? Thanks.

For a print article, we would need the original high resolution digital photos. We can work on it when you get close to finishing the project. I am amazed at your work. I may just use some of your ideas on my big scale 1/12 Mustang I am trying to work on. Trying being the key word For the files, you can send via ftp, which works the best. I can send the link when you are ready. How much longer on the car?
