Photos of Mustang Models Needed
Gregg replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Any year, as long as photo is top-notch Would prefer no die-cast, as this is for the model builders, which is what we are Thanks again And, diss the forum, or me, even in a joke, you will be treated accordingly. Not you, Highway, there was a post before that I removed. -

I know exactly which one's Harry is talking about. I was worried they were part of a spam war -
If you guys have a photo, a great photo, of your cool Mustang, and would like to help out da Big Kahuna, please send that one picture to me, via email: Email me This will be used in a photo/video montage as part of my entry for the Ultimate Mustang Makeover contest video entry. I need these like right away. Please respond to me via email only. The contest deadline for this set is June 29, but I have to get these done now, I have to put the video together, so I need some time for that. If you can put your name INTO the photo, that would be great, otherwise, I have no way of showing whose Mustang Model is whose, if you know what I mean. I know, I could do swipes with each one, but that would take way more time than I have. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering about that myself. -
Due to some cleaning house, the thread was deleted. Sorry if anyone's work was lost in the process That's what happens when rules are broken. I know innocent people were affected, but that happens when a war breaks out. Sorry.

Luc I will check when I get home in a few

What I have found out by chance is on the final final polish coat, I grab those super soft paper towels, like VIVA, or one of them, your better half will know, and use a car polish on it, rubbing lightly. It is a how-to article coming up in print. It works fantastic! It takes out all those nasty final swirl marks, especially on a black car with no clear (my favorite)

When does the next issue come out?
Gregg replied to Terry Sumner's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ah Lee, don't make me ban you for telling the truth!!! With all seriousness aside, May/June should be out already July is getting it's final touches If you guys know anyone who wants throw some advertising dollars my way, that would help out more than you know. Lee, I'm still shaking my head (man, that hurts....) -
How did this forum start?
Gregg replied to Jared Roach's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
No, he meant I have a broke back You guys are implying things that are not true, and you know what happens when that occurs Just playing. Don't want to stir up troubles, again. J, I don't remember the blond. I thought she was dark-haired, and something about a train.... Man, the stories we could tell I still love the one I tell about getting lost in LA, the U-Turn, the whites of the eyes under the hooded sweatshirt, hands in the pockets..... -

I wish you had access to a good digital camera. This would be a great project and one I would run in MCM. -

How did this forum start?

I was waiting for Jairus to chime in. Actually, it was on the board to do for so long. I just couldn't find the software that I thought would work the best. Yes, at that time, we used cheap (meaning free). After we got tired of chatting with ourselves, others joined us. I remember when we got so excited when we hit 100, then 500, then a thousand members. I don't remember when I changed to the paid version of the forum software, but that was a lot of sweaty moments during the conversion. Luckily, everything switched over fine. So, to answer the question, it was started to be a place for modelers to get together online and share their tips, tricks, builds, and make new friends. Unfortunately, with all the bickering, fighting, and schoolyard rumbles, it has lost its meaning, and value. With over 6,000 registered members, it's one of the most visited online forums on the Internet. We have builders from all over the world showing off their builds and tips. We have launched the "careers" of many well-known builders over the past couple of years. Many builders and readers have had their life-long dream of making it on the cover of Model Cars, due to the forum and being selected to join the ohana of MCM. You can't put a price tag on that, and when I go to shows and meet my cover builders, the gratitude and thanks they give me makes all of this worth it. I get teary-eyed sometimes, and a moment at the NNL East a few years ago always makes me feel so good inside. The builder of a great 956 was so thankful, and his wife was so proud of him, it was one of those "Kodak moments" I will cherish forever. This forum has given me hundreds if not thousands of friends, from all over the world. It's a place to meet new friends, chat with old ones, and see what others have been building. It started with two good friends talking and getting liquidated, discussing what the forum structure should be like, and it's grown from there. Okay, I pau (finished) -
Suspension of privileges has been lifted. Now, here's the thing If I see, or hear, about this childish behavior starting up again, I will not suspend or ban those parties. I will delete your account, delete all your posts, and ban your IP, you won't be able to even view the forum. Just imagine all of your great how-to's, tips, tricks, threads with your beautiful builds being lost forever because you don't follow some simple rules, and common courtesy. I am sick and tired of these kindergarten antics. I really don't want to be so hard-handed, but I feel I have to. This is one thing I give Mr. Haught credit for, keeping their forum under a tight and orderly format. Leave your ego at the door, or your printer. I don't want PM's, emails, phone calls on this. Seriously, I really don't care! It's a forum for model car building, not slamming others, calling someone a liar, pushing your ego to it's limit, and beyond, or seeing how far you can pee. I know that if someone gets banned, and all those great posts/threads are gone forever, this will be a true loss for the hobby, But, it has to be done. There is no other way I have given everyone numerous warnings, and have been turning the other cheek for way to long. I know I am really laid back, but I feel I am being taken advantage of. Now, it's time to lay down the law.

Gregg replied to RodneyBad's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I did one in MCM a while ago. Maybe someone can check the index and see? Heh, I just trying to get you guys to see if this system (index) will work. It not like I lazy or anything..... :-) -
Shoot. I missed one.....

Just remember, as da big kahuna, I can go in and change your posting level/numbers at any time..... it's good to be king...or kahuna as the case may be

I will not stand for this anymore. Stop picking fights on the forum. I do not play favorites to anyone. I have a lot of patience with everything in life. But, you have pushed my buttons too many times. I banned for a week the parties at play. Do it again, and I will delete the accounts, posts, threads, and permanently ban the IPs you use. Enough of this. This is about building models, not calling out people Oh, Bobbie said that you told Frank that Jim said that blah blah blah This is not the fifth grade. GROW UP. Build models, and keep your petty ego's and fights in your own email inbox and trash cans. I don't want to see that here. I don't care if you don't like someone. Put them on your Ignore list. Is it that hard to do? Go to LogMeIn.com and send me all your account info and I will log in and control your computer to show you how to do it. ENOUGH Go build models, and share the talents that you have. I don't care if you think someone lied. SO WHAT

Gregg replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
mahalo nui loa, Jeff I am hearing a lot on this topic already, so we shall see where it goes. -
You know who you are. KNOCK IT OFF Many of you are dear friends of mine. KNOCK IT OFF If you don't agree with someone, or don't like what they have to say, put them on your "Ignore" list. KNOCK IT OFF I don't want to see all the flaming wars start up again. Sure, I know it's probably fun, and a giggle, but KNOCK IT OFF This will be the final warning. KNOCK IT OFF If anyone, and I does not matter who you are, starts or does this again, I will ban, and possibly delete your account. So KNOCK IT OFF okay, I pau
