Does MCM still have a Calender of Events??
Gregg replied to Len Woodruff's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
And the online calendar is up-to-date, thanks to the hard work of Mr. Patterson! Or is that Peterson? Or Peter's son? I'm in trouble now! Oh yeah, the magazine printed events are FREE!!!!! Go figure -
You can take the infamous Northwest Gregg Redeye! Jairus spent many a mornings driving up at 6:00 a.m. to pick me up!

Guys, we have just secured the room for the first ever NNL event in Hawaii. Ala Moana Hotel Web Site It will be at the Ala Moana Hotel in Honolulu, right outside of Waikiki. It is attached to the Ala Moana shopping center, so your wife or loved one can spend the day shopping in our biggest and best mall. The show will be on Sunday, so you can spend the whole weekend in wonderful Hawaii, March 14, 2010. It will be an NNL-type of show, unless our local club changes my mind. I will post flyers and ads as soon as they are done (ahem, hi, Harry! I guess I should ask first ). Stay tuned for more info.

I agree with Pete's outline. For me, the main thing to look for when it comes down to price is the ability to set Aperture Priority. This would be on the top of the camera. Look for P or Auto, then TV, AV, and M If it has the AV, that is Aperture Priority. Most digital cameras are not able to physically set aperture, it is done digitally. The only true Aperture setting is with a SLR-type of camera. And the new digital cameras of today only go up to an F-Stop of F/8, which works fine for posting and some print shots. I always recommend shooting at the highest res. You never know when your shots might be needed for print work

What did I miss? Who got fired? Yankees won the World Series? Who's on first... Seriously, if it works, I'd rather leave it alone. When I get back from Chicago iHobby I'll think about it some more. Too much prep going on for that show to think. Harry, Dinner Thursday night, right? I know you said MacDonald's was fine, but I got some class: BURGER KING!!!! (sorry for yelling, BOB)

Nigel, I agree!!! Everyone who sees me at the pre-show parties knows the only thing I drink I am going to the "holy land" one of these days. -
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/broward/w...0,4163470.story This was pretty cool It shows that the ranking of the web site is pretty good. The reporter Googled model cars and I was very near the top. Called me and asked for my two cents.

Scribing Panel Lines & Opening Doors
Gregg replied to ViperDave's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Scale Motorsport just sent their new "Tool Kit" which also has the super thin saw blades that Pete mentioned. I like the blades, but I'm partial to the thread. I can cut a door open in less than five minutes, and it is perfect. It does take practice, but I love it. Especially around the corners. The clamps I used were from Micro-Mark, and they are great. An extra pair of hands also works well, if you have them around, and can explain the precarious aspect of this technique... -
I taught Bill everything he knows.... or don't know :-) He is a great guy, true friend, and his models inspire many of us, Kahuna included. Snow, what dat?????

I stand behind Steve, I consider him a friend, and I am glad that he posted a response here. I am sure that this matter will be resolved, and I will be removing the thread as soon as I get confirmation that everything is okay. If you guys have a problem with a vendor, seller, advertiser, or anyone in the hobby, please try to resolve with the Model Car Mediator (moi) before posting on the forum. Usually, I can help in resolving the issues at hand, before they become html harpoons. Steve, thanks for all you do for the hobby. Hope to see you soon, my friend.
