Welcome Bruno Great builds, great photos. They look very realistic outside. Nice job. Thanks for putting your name in your sig also. And guys, that goes for everyone here!!!! We are not anonymous here. We are all one big family (ohana) No hiding behind screen names. mahalo and tanks, eh, brah! Again, Bruno, great shots! Love the Hemi and the Mustang.
  3. Great art work, Gary! Always enjoy seeing your builds at shows.
  4. I have seen a lot of entry forms at shows where there is a disclaimer, or at least in the rules, that the model must be built solely by the entrant. So now, yes, I will have to police a bit. I will ask: "Did you build this model?" If the answer is no, then I will not shoot it. I do get a lot of models brought in by friends of the builder, who couldn't make the show. That a I applaud, and commend. I think that is what friends are all about. It's a lot of work to bring someone else's model to show with you, especially when you travel great distances. I remember when I brought Greg Nichol's incredible VW Bug GT car to shows around the country with me. That was a pleasure and honor to do. It was not always the easiest thing to do, but it was worth it. To let others see the great work he did which graced the cover of MCM years ago. Okay, I almost pau...
  5. Correctomundo!
  6. Okay, I finally made room on the bench After starting the motor, I threw all the chrome trees in the chrome stripper machine (aka Easy Off Oven Cleaner). There are just too many mold lines. You could get away with touch ups, but then it looks like touch ups. I will have to buy more than a few of bottles of Alclad.
  7. If I had known that the model was not built by the person who entered it, and was led to believe that it was, I would not run the photo. Sorry, that's my stand on this. My good friend Dave of Mini-Dreams gave me a hard time once when his models started showing up in show coverages, under the name of the person that bought them. That's a quick way to get on my black list... forever. I know this may upset some, but heh, this is my sandbox, right? Okay, I pau...
  8. Thanks, Bob. Fixed the link So, when you coming over to the Dark Side?
  9. My photos are still there I don't delete them. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/GSL09/Site/GSL_Photos.html I don't get this. Someone enters a model that they didn't build, under their own name? Please explain this rational to me. I print what is written on the forms.
  10. Todd, there are some bugs with the admin email system. It has to do with a PHP script, that I can't figure out yet. I am getting a of emails from the site that actually just gibberish, like some code is in the message. Since you are registered, you should be able to contact the want ad. I will check that setting, to make sure. I will try to put a straight "contact me" on the front page. For the deadbeat, you can give him/her a negative, and relist. Let me know the info, and I can suspend account also. I think you can resend the invoice in the sold auction link. Let me look at this in the morning. It's been a chore, and there still a lot of bugs to work out. Thanks for you support!
  11. I think I was there at the Roadster show, if that's the place. Got in through the back, so don't know what the front looks like I think that's the same one. I want to see the other ones in LA. I guess Peterson is the other big one? I will Google it and see where it's at. (What would life be like without Google?) I am up to all ideas and suggestions. And as for the AAA card, I got the cheap one, the AA
  12. I don't know if this link will work, but if not, just go to Facebook.com and type in Model Cars Magazine as the search Model Cars on Facebook
  13. 5 a.m. Saturday morning I gots me a car, with four wheels even! (I heard the cars in LA don't have all their wheels a lot of times) I am open to anything, so let the ideas and suggestions flow What is theme at museum?
  14. two cents from da boss Add the new Challenger or other RT/SRT rims. Love the build!
  15. Birdcage, ANDY!!!!!!!
  16. I need a bigger table!!! Seriously, just getting everything together has been a pain. I will do updates this week. I agree though, the kit will be a great curbside. We'll see about taking it past that.
  17. LED's are very good, you can get daylight balanced ones too, but I think they are pricey and hard to find. I would go with daylight flourescents, that is what I use throughout my house as well They give a slight blue glow, but I am used to that. They have them in standard sizes, and I have seen them in the shorter sizes. These could fit in the case in the smaller 18" fixtures. I will see what I can find for the LEDs. I had a source, but I lost the bookmark.
  18. mi pana, que numero? Sorry for the butchered Spanish... what number is the sheet?
  19. Yes, it's officially count-down time for the Lower Left Coast NNL in San Diego. This will be a great show. It's really good to see our own Darryl Gassaway back in the saddle putting on his infamous shows. This time, MCM is a proud sponsor of the show with the San Diego Model Car Club, which is the local IPMS club in San Diego. I am flying in to LAX on a red eye, arriving around 5:00 a.m. I would like to spend the day up in LA, maybe have a get together somewhere there, or at Pegasus? Then head down to San Diego in the late afternoon. I am open for suggestions/ideas. Let's help Darryl make this the biggest, and best, Lower Left Coast NNL Ever!
  20. Pay? Ask Obama!!!! You guys won't work for me for love? Geeee..... I'm insulted..... Ain't it great to be able to do this banter back and forth, across miles of ocean and land, and we are all part of one big family? No pretenses, no trying to be something you are not. Although, I know, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, there is a point where everyone seriously goes WFT! I know, I spelt it wrong Didn't want to get banned by that crazy guy on that little rock in the most desolate place on the planet.... Now, where was I? Oh yeah, WAITER!!!!!!!! No idea where I'm going with this? Call on Saturday, and bend my ear.... :-) 11:38 p.m. still up and working four screens, three computers, ahhhh, life is (busy?) Sorry, I'm going off on a whatchamacallit (MIKE!!!!) hehehheehheheeheh Yes, I nuts. That's why you guys luv me. Cuz eYe 1 oF U (Don't you hate when kids type like that?) k, I pau fo now
  21. With a name like Greg, you can't go wrong (Well, I did, once, but that's another story) I didn't think about where they were coming from. That's interesting I will pass on to friend at the source. Everyone, make sure you bug me to get this out this weekend. I may have to buy another door to build this on. No laugh! My workbenches, computer desks, etc, are all doors! Cheapest things around per square inch! And they turn out nice with some stain, varnish, and a bit of elbow grease. Have to get my skills back in line for building my new house :-) Anyone want to come to Hawaii and help build the MCM Office/Hobby Heaven (can I say that?)/wine room/slot car track, and oh yeah, house for the better half ???
  22. My understanding is that they are mid-200 U.S. If it's Saturday, can you tell me who won the next leg of the Tour D'France so I can call my bookie and make a bundle? :-) I would be careful of anything under 200 for the kit. But, that's my quarter (sorry, inflation, it was two-cents before Obama)
  23. This weekend, I promise!!!!
