John, I would check with Dave Dodge of Model Car World. Scale Finishes might have it also. I think Jameston posts or keeps an eye on the forum I have tried Scale Finishes, the color (Grabber Orange) was perfect!

Gregg’s First Impressions: GT 40 MK II The box is huge, of course. The art work is great. It’s heavy. Open the lid, holy ######! That’s a lot of parts! First thing I noticed was on the left side of the box is a smaller box with the black GT 40 MK II on all four sides, and the top. This box must contain the body. It does. Holy ######! Every piece in the small box is individually wrapped in clear plastic. The doors, hood, engine cover, everything is placed on the body, with the clear plastic on it. I should have taken a picture of it, but I was too anxious to tear off all the clear wrappings. There is even foam pieces in delicate areas to help support the body. Some of the body panels are even pre-painted aluminum, which is nice, but there are some sink holes some builders will probably like to take care of. The front and rear windows are also individually wrapped. Now, on to the rest of the box. There is a super cool smaller box with a black and white copy of the box art that has the tires, Goodyear tire decals, and foam tire inserts. There is a photoetched sheet of screens/grilles, seat belt hardware, and panels for under the front hood. The rims are pre-painted in a gold color. There are also four metal valve stems for the rims. Speaking of metal, there are springs for the suspension, springs to hold the exhaust pipes down, some small turned aluminum parts, a set of the best looking hood pins I have seen in a kit, ribbed brake duct flex hoses, tubing, wiring, and small screws to put the kit together. It does look like the suspension will work. I won’t know until I start to build it. The decals are for the black number 2 car that won the 1966 24 Hours of LeMans. So, that’s my quick look at the new Trumpeter 1/12 scale GT 40 MK II. Watch for the more on this kit soon, and we hope to see the Scale Motorsport super detail set out in the near future.

Offering a service or parts made to order...
Gregg replied to Johnnycrash's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Of course I take bribes! Why do you think I got into politics? For most of the products I have seen from new vendors, yes, the product has to be made and ready to ship first. The only exception is resin bodies, which can be cast as they receive orders. Offering something for sale that is not yet available is something I would not support. There are some photoetch stuff I would like to get done for the magazine, license plate frames, etc. -

Yes, plain and simple, no selling except on eModelCars.com But, and yes, the big hairy butt, we do welcome new companies, product reviews, and such. What I don't want to see is posts or threads: Oh, how much is this, can I get this, etc. If you want to make an announcement, that's fine. There is also a thread for links, advertisers, etc. You can also send products in to me for review. What I don't do, and never will, is review something that I have only seen online or in pictures, and not actually physically reviewed the product. I think this is important to the readers, they know that I reviewed the product myself, or by one of our staff. -
The rumors of Revell's Big Tub being canceled are false. I just talked Roger Harney of Revell, they are working on box art now.

Need advice on selling a collection
Gregg replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lyn, if you want to sell them one by one, I would be most grateful if you did so on eModelCars. I sure could use the publicity, and this would certainly get a lot of traffic to the site. And, like Chris said, IT'S FREE!!!! I, like Tom Carter, Dean Milano, and others, do buy collections in full, so that's always another possibility. Let me know if you have any questions. There is a bulk lister on eModelCars, but it's PC-based, and silly me is on a Mac. I know, go figure.... -

The only one I know of is this one. Don't remember who did it. Any help? I probably reviewed it years ago. -
What color is the Parnelli Jones 1970 Mustang Trans Am car? Orange, yes, but what is name, and what is closest match, ie. Duplicolor, etc. Thanks in advance.

New to Mac's, searching for old software
Gregg replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
There are a few tricks. Restart the Mac If no work, go to Applications, Utilities, Disk Repair. Click on Repair Permissions, bottom left bottom near center. If no work: Remove the printer from System Preferences Then, add again. If that don't work, click on the printers, select the printer, then click Printer Setup. From there, the file menu, you can reset printer system. Hope this helps -

Mac's can Right Click, have been able to for years, just need to buy an aftermarket mouse I use the Logitech Wireless. Any PC mouse will work, usually. Have you added the printer? From the Apple top left logo, System Preferences, Printers, then add the printer. It should be automatic. Any questions on the Mac, email me off board, or call.
