  1. How about a '60 Corvair 700 Sedan? I have started on it, and the body is ready for paint, but I still have to strip the interior.
  2. That is some excellent workmanship. I am a fan of the Mannix tv show too. I have the box set of the first season of the show. In the first few episodes, Mannix drove a 1966 then a 1967 Mercury Cyclone Convertible, before the Custom Toronado Roadster, which I have the unbuilt kit of in my collection. I'm going to do the '70 Cuda, and the '74 Camaro Z28LT he had on the show, as well as the Toronado, and the Dart like yours, but I am going with the Rader wheels on mine, as I have a set of them in my parts box. I just hope that my Mannix car comes out 1/2 as well as yours.
  3. Foxer, I can honestly say that you are knocking this one out of the park. I sold these vans over the years, and actually built one back in 1974. I have one of the vintage AMT police vans, as well as a couple of the A-Team Vans, and a Revell Short wheelbase van. I plan to build a 1971 Chevrolet Beauville Sport Van, as well as a work van with dents and the gutted interior. I have several brochures, but looking at your interior panels are giving me a lot of ideas. Thank you for doing this build.
  4. If you can find a Monogram 1/8 scale 1982 Z28, you will get the exact wheels like what is on your car. I built one back in the day, and I still have it, waiting to see the light of day.
  5. Carl, I saw your build on Tom Coolidge's Fotki site today, and I am impressed with your work. It reminds me of Lt. Tragg's car on the first season of Perry Mason.
  6. Jeff!!! That looks so much better!!!! Thank you for making me scrape up the money for this one. Maybe I'll get one for my birthday next month!!!!
  7. Eggsquizite!!!!
  8. About a year and a half ago, I was vending at our clubs' NNL, and one of my fellow club members (Dave Toups) had a 1966 Thunderbird Promo for sale at a reasonable price, that was thoroughly played with. It was scuffed up, the chrome either gouged or missing, and the left side "A" pillar was broken off. I repaired the "A" pillar with various pieces of plastic rod, and I sanded and polished the body and glass until most of the scratches disappeared. Because I could not match the color of the plastic when I repaired the "A" pillar, I decided to "Bare Metal" the car. I detail washed the wheelcovers, grille, and tail lamp areas, as well as adding the appropriate body separation lines between the fenders, removing the small amount of "flash", and squaring up the body. A '66 T-Bird parts kit supplied the bumpers, grille, hood and fender ornaments. The interior was washed, and left as is. Thanks Dave for another T-Bird for my collection.
  9. Beautiful! But I would not expect anything else from you.
  10. I have been in a little funk lately. My basement flooded a few weeks back. Fortunately, none of my models were damaged, but some of my magazines were casualties, as a lot of them were in cardboard boxes on the floor. I am in the midst of rearranging everything, and doing an inventory of my collection. A couple of years ago, I did a master of a 1964-71 Pontiac Dog Dish Hubcap, and had a set cast in resin for a future project by a good friend, who also gave me a set of steelies to use with them. I foiled and detailed the caps, painted the steelies black, and found an appropriate set of redlines for a future project. In my "clean up", I found the perfect candidate for the wheel setup, a pre-painted Black, Polar Lights '64 Pontiac GTO Convertible. I rubbed out the finish, Bare Metaled the Tampoed on Silver trim, painted the interior a custom mixed Saddle for contrast, and used Model Car Garage 65-66 GTO Photoetch for the emblems, and license plate frames. I have a lot of projects under construction, but I did this one to get my juices flowing. If you like the subject matter, a prepainted kit can help you get out of the doldrums. I enjoyed doing this one, and it did not take much time to build and detail to my satisfaction. By the way, the dog dishes and steelies were cast by Norm Veber of Replicas and Miniatures Co, of MD., and they should be available in his product line momentarily. Thanks Norm.
  11. Lookin' good Marc.
  12. Beautiful. The Lindberg has a Slant Six, and a Torqueflite 904 Transmission, since not too many Miradas came through with a 4-Speed Transmission. The 904 was the automatic transmission for the small block Mopar engine of the period. I'll get one when I can scrape up the money.
  13. This is going to be good.
  14. Personally, I am not a fan of this car, but after seeing this, It's a must have.
  15. I like that one, John. Long time, no see.
  16. Absolutely stunning Romell.
  17. I took it apart tonight, and it looks as if it sat in a swamp for the last 40 years!!!!!
  18. Last year, one of our club members (M.A.M.A.) gave me a model. Now, I love a challenge, but this one is a little more than I am used to dealing with. Fortunately, I have a big parts box. I am determined to do this one without investing any more mone in it, so it may not be a Replica Stock build in the strictest sense. Who knows? I may go into Lowrider Land with this one. It's going to need a lot of work.
  19. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!
  20. That one is what we call "A Master Work". That car is breathtaking.
  21. Good work so far, Len. I am going to do a Dick Landy Car with mine.
  22. This is an excellent body, as I have one to be built. Too bad it is out of production.
  23. I built it to depict a 427/390/Turbo 400, loaded hardtop. The Paint is Model Car World Marina Blue Lacquer, with a hand painted black vinyl roof and interior, and Model Car Garage Photoetch Scripts. If you looked at the earlier posts of the build, I converted the new Revell kit, using several photos found in various places. The interior was also converted to a Strato Bench Seat, with the Sport Steering Wheel, Column Shift, and Caprice seat trim and door panels. Thank you for the encouragement to get this thing finished. I am quite happy with it.
  24. Incredible!!! Excellent work!!!
