  1. ###### skippy! Those look marvelous!
  2. Welcome. I can't wait to see your work, as we like pretty much the same thing. Ron
  3. And now you know why "The new Chrysler Corporation" would NOT put their "Lifetime Warranty" on such a beast. That plan is going to bankrupt them, as well as the $2.99 per gallon gas gimmick. Build a better car with good looks, mileage, performance, and good dealer practices, and they will come.
  4. AMT did the '69 GTX as both a hardtop and a convertible. which should get the parts for the convertible rear seat, side panels, and boot, if you want to do a '69 Road Runner Convertible. The convertible rear seat will not work on a hardtop.
  5. I can help you on this. I have an original set of seats from the JoHan 1969 Road Runner, as I have both an original Johan 1969 Road Runner and GTX in my collection. Here's a suggestion for you, and it should be quite inexpensive if you want a set of correct 1969 Road Runner Bucket seats in your project. Get The AMT '69 GTX Hardtop kit, that builds as the stock version. While the Johan seats are nice, the AMT seats are more accurate in the shape of the seat, and the upholstery pattern is still correct. The Johan seat, while the upholstery pattern is correct, is too boxy. My GTX is an unbuilt original, and I do not want to take the parts off of the sprues until I start construction, while the 1969 Road Runner is in a place of my basement where I cannot get to it at the present time.
  6. With all of the vintage unbuilts in my collection, this is the most expensive kit I own, and worth every penny! I watched Harold did the work researching and creating the master for this kit. The product is what Bill, Bob, & Darin wrote about it, and more. Gordon Holsinger normally does the exquisite buildups for Harold, and the one he did is flat out gorgeous. Gordon is a great modeler, and having this great kit made his work that much easier. I'm sorry that I do not have a picture of Gordon's Finished model, other than the one on Harold's package, which is shown in Darin's photography at the top of this thread.
  7. Beautiful work on both of those.
  8. I'm still waiting for the power windows.
  9. Excellent save on that one!
  10. See Bill? I told you that I could make something out of this one, not to say I have seen others do some decent work with the kit also. The whitewalls are the kit tires, with whitewalls drawn on with my trusty bow compass. I used the same techique when I did the Vogues. The double stripe whitewall was the standard tire used by the big 3 in 1970-71 across the board on bias ply tires above D78-14, unless they were 70 series tires, which recieved the pin stripe whitewalls. I was originally going to do the car with Rallye Wheels and Goodyear Polyglas GT White-Lettered Tires' but the bow compass was sitting there, and one thing led to another. Thanks for the compliments.
  11. Looks great to me.
  12. I told ya it wasn't so bad!
  13. I built this one from the much maligned Revell 1970 AAR cuda kit I reviewed on this forum a few months back. I made a few modifications to the body, such as re-working the "hips" on the quarter panels. I also removed the hood scoop, and added a peak down the center of the hood, as well as removing the indentations in the front fenders where the spoilers mounted, and I added the vinyl roof seams and mouldings. The interior was re-done to replicate one of the Gran Coupe trim packages. The car has: The Gran Coupe Package (Model Car Garage Photoetch Emblems) and re-done interior to replicate the white leather with black trim, Special Paint (1968 Dodge Turquoise Metallic(Testors Lacquer)), 383 4bbl V8 w/ 4-speed trasmission (Revell 1969 Charger/and 1969 Dart GTS), 14" Rallye Wheels (AMT 1969 GTX) on Whitewall Tires (Parts Box with stripes painted on with bow compass), White vinyl roof (Testors Vinyl Roof Lacquer Paint) This build is to represent a well equipped 1970 Barracuda Gran Coupe, ordered by a Miami Dolphins fan. http://s245.photobucket.com/albums/gg59/Ro...mview=slideshow
  14. I think those builds are so cool. I'm not a big fan of Donks, but love Lowriders. I've been gathering up as many of the Lowrider versions of this kit as I can. I plan to do one as a Hess & Eisenhardt conversion in the next few years.
  15. This is what we call "separating the men from the boys". Excellent work so far, as usual Luis. I love your work. RH
  16. Strange. I have one of the AFX in scale '71 Demons, and it is a nice transkit. I haven't had ANY problems getting my items from AFX in scale, other than they are very slow. I planned to combine it with the latest '71 Duster kit here and there for accuracy's sake. I have some Demon decals to go with it. I had one of R & R resin repops, but I cannot find it now. (Somewhere in my Basement) If I could find it, maybe we can make a deal, once I can find it, and determine it's condition.
  17. I have to build mine now after seeing yours. I'm going to kitbash mine with a 78 Pace Car for the aluminum wheels, windshield header and t-tops, clear glass, better chassis, exhaust system and engine block. I cannot replicate the glass t-tops correctly, I may have them Plated, or smoked. Between the '78, and '82, I can fill a few holes, as I like the Monogram 1/24 body better than the MPC 1/25 bodies.
  18. Jairus, You did a wonderful job mastering that one. I have to get one of those for myself. Now, will it be a straight Replica Stock, or a street machine (Arter-Lowered, on a set of Pegasus' American 5-Spokes, or MCG Caddy Sombreros on Wide Whites). Black with the wood trim, and either Tan, or Red & White guts. By the way, Paul's model is exquisite. I wish I could afford one for my collection.
  19. I know you got the last laugh on that one! I have a '62 Falcon kit I bought a few years back. I haven't made my decision yet, but I want to do a showroom of '62 Fords. That one was the missing link. Of course mine will be Replica Stock, but I am diggiing what you are doing with yours. Maybe I'll pick up a resin kit, and go that route.
  20. Lookin' good Cruz. I finally got some paint on my long term '70 (it's fighting me in all directions). I hope to put the vinyl roof on it in the next few days, so I can finish the interior. Lots of work to change a AAR into a '70 Gran Coupe.
  21. I love your work.
  22. Ismael, Your restoration is going to be great. I've always liked the "shark" Corvettes. ime I walk into the basement, I see my disassembled 1/8 scale 1982 Collectors edition corvette, which I built in 1983-84. I painted it with a deep brown, with a tri-tone brown interior, and the kit decal stripes. IO'd love to get a set of those 1/8 scale stripes, strip the brown off, and get some Champagne Paint (a lot of it), and re-do the car. I may even leave it brown (if I can rub the Pactra Enamel out), as it doesn't look terrible, and I believe it's all there. The prices of those kits have been pretty high on Ebay. I also have a '65 to restore, that belongs to my mom. I painted it with Pactra Candy Orange. I haven't seen it in about 20 years, but I think I can resurrect it. I had a set of 1/8 scale American 5-spokes, but I misplaced them. If I can get a set of steelies and dog dish caps for my 1/8 scale deuce, I'll purloin the Americans from that kit for that one.
  23. And I thought I had work to do.
  24. Between you and Bob Downie, that kit looks state of the art, but everything came from the builder. I am still trying to figiure out what to do with mine. I plan to de-bling it, and make it look more like a real car, instead of a charature. I would be proud if mine came out half as good as yours Ismael.
