You mean something like this????? I have gotten a little further than this picture suggests. As a matter of fact, it will probably be the next one to be done.

I agree with you about the Southern Motorsport's '70 Road Runner resin transkit. I scrapped a '70 Superbird I built many moons ago, and it's in line to be built. I am not sure if I am going to do it as a wedge or a Hemi, and the color. I am leaning towards either Hemi Orange, or In Violet, with a black interior.

Night before last, I did the "Chrome" on the '62 Newport with a Motolow pen. I have not taken any pictures of it yet, but it does not look too bad. In my research, the Newport Convertible Vinyl Interiors came in Light Blue Metallic, Red, and Black. I am going with Black, with the Black body. That will give it just a different look than the 300's.

Go get 'em Tom. Every once in a while, pieces of a '60 buick will turn up. I suggest that you use parts from a Revell '59 Chevy for the windshield frame. I have the three of them myself, and while the Buick is finished, the Merc and the Ford are in line, waiting to be done.

Here's my '61 Sedan. I built it from a restorable piece where I added the "B" pillar. I have an unbuilt convertible, and another sedan, which I am going to convert into a '62. I also just picked up a builder '62 convertible that is waiting in line with my other '60's Lincolns. I love that black convertible!!!!!

Very Nice!!!! I love it!!!!!

Excellent work!!!! That one is a '61, not a '62. That one will bookend perfectly with my sedan.

Vintage AMT 1966 Mustang Convertible
Ron Hamilton replied to Fast Floyd 2's topic in WIP: Model Cars
I have always gotten a kick out of the first gen Mustangs. I have a '66 hardtop in the queue that I am restoring. I built it back in the late 80's, complete with a Testors enamel paint job. I was going to strip it, but it polished out very nice, so I am going to leave it alone. I have to find a set of wheels for it, and a couple of odds and ends, and it can see the light of day. Looking at your builds Floyd are making the juices flow again. Go get 'em Floyd!!! -
Those are the ones going on mine. Thanks Harold!!!!

I worked a little on the '62 Chrysler trio last week, and I think I made a little progress. On the '62 300H convertible, I was able to mount the Modelhaus 300H wheel covers on a set of aftermarket pin-whites and Jo-Han wheel backs I had in my tire stash. I think they look very nice, and will look better once I detail them. The Revell Newport convertible is somewhat a surprise to me. It goes together differently than the Jo-Han 300H cars, and surprisingly, some aspects of it looks better than the Jo-Han kits, but it is just not as exciting a car to me. I lined everything up on it, and I cleaned up the mould lines from the bumpers and grille. I have to "re-plate" everything, but I think things will work out. This one is going to be a 361/3-speed Manual car, as that is what is in the kit. I was also able to clean up the '62 Hardtop that I had. For now, It is just mocked up with the kit tires and wheel covers. I have to polish out the bumpers and remove the mould lines from them as I did on the Revell kit. I have a set of 300H wheel covers for this one, and I have to round up a set of tires. When I first started on this one, I was not too enthusiastic, as this was a junker sitting in my stash. Fortunately, I found the parts I needed to make a decent car out of it, and it cleaned up nicely. The other day, while I was doing my research, I was stoked when I came across a picture of the one-to-one I want to duplicate... This is one gorgeous car!!!! It turned me on to doing the Hardtop. I have to tighten up the fit of the interior tubs, glass, and some odds and ends, scribe the body separation lines, and shoot some primer, and maybe some paint on all three. We are well along the way!!!!

I want to see more of this one!!!!!

That is looking very nice Steve. Years ago, I started on a '67 Satellite convertible project. after looking at yours, I may have to get back to it.

'60's AMC straight sixes
Ron Hamilton replied to MrObsessive's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
That sounds right to me. At this time, one of my projects is the resurrection of a glue-bomb 1966 Rambler American Hardtop. That little six looks good to me.
