  1. Both of them are very nice!!!!
  2. I have their '70 Road Runner, and it is very good. It is based from the old 1/25 JoHan, which I prefer over the Revell 1/24 offering. I scrapped an old broken, built up '70 Super bird I built back when I was in high school for the interior and the chassis. I may adapt an AMT '68 Road Runner chassis and running gear to it for a more detailed build. I looked at their catalog, and they have some interesting pieces I may have to invest in.
  3. No. This would be a good project for an enterprising 3-d Caster.
  4. Fantastic work!!!! I am sorry that I missed this one, but I am happy to have seen it.
  5. Last week, I received a '67 Ford XL Hardtop trans kit form Motor City. The quality of the casting is superb, as was the service from Jeff, as.It took one week longer than the anticipated date, but it was well worth it, as Jeff E-Mailed me with the information that they were re-doing the body as the molds were nearly worn out. The casting is as beautiful as the styrene one I sold off a couple of years ago. I did nit take any photos, but go to their site, and the kit breakdown photo is very accurate. You are on you own for chrome plating, which is a plus as it keeps the costs down. I plan to mate mine with an AMT '66 Ford for the chassis, running gear, under hood parts, and other incidentals. It will be quite a while before I get to it, as I have so many builds ahead of it. http://www.motorcityresincasters.com/
  6. Thanks a lot for the comprehensive review of the kit Chris. I have been doing a lot of research on this one since the kit was announced, and it looks to me that this kit has the basics to do a nice replica of a classic mid '60's Chevy Suburban. The tires in this kit look like the ones that were in the original Monogram '59 Cadillac Eldorado kit, which were a decent set of B.F.Goodrich Silvertowns with separate white wall inserts. Personally I do not care for the wide whites on a car past 1961, so I will be modifying mine to be either black walls, or a narrow band white wall tires. There are not too many photographs of a 1966 Suburban out there, but a '64 or '65 can also be done with a front emblem swap, which are included in the 1964 and 1965 Chevrolet pickup kits, and the Model Car Garage's '64-5 Chevy truck photo etch set also has the emblems. I will probably do mine as a '64 or '65 just to be different. I want to build it as a tow rig for a drag car and trailer.
  7. Outstanding!!!!!!
  8. I'm jealous! I have a derelict '72 Resin kit that I may combine with an AMT '70, as I cannot afford a decent '72, and the one you have looks very nice.
  9. I've been "straightening" that one out since the kit first came out. I have not given up, as I want to do it as a companion piece to the new "Foose" kit.
  10. I've always liked those Foxes, and yours is great looking, and the model is not too bad either.
  11. Fantastic!!!!
  12. Excellent!!!!
  13. AMT '71 Charger R/T.
  14. I can't wait to see the finished model.
  15. You have two options with those tail lights if you cannot get them out. 1) Cover them with liquid mask 2) Paint them after the car is painted. Your plans look to be workable, as that is how I would go about doing the car. If you are going replica stock, Missing Link Resin offers a beautiful set of '63 Polara wheel covers (same as the '62), if you do not have a set of wheel covers.
  16. I echo what Steve stated. That is one nice build. I have a couple of '60's I have started to restore. My grandfather had a turquoise '60 that I am going to do my hardtop as a tribute to his car.
  17. I love both of them. Nice color combinations and vinyl roof applications.I have several Rivieras in my collection to do.Those are magnificent builds.
  18. Well Done!!
  19. The bumper and Grille came from Missing Link Resin. I Bare Metaled the grills, sprayed them with Flat Black and carefully scraped the paint from the high spots. I have another one for a '72 project I want to do in the future.
  20. I love it!!!
  21. Very nice work!!!
  22. I remember them when they were new, as there was an American Motors dealer not far from my school. The C-P dealer across the street carried many a performance car, and the AMC dealer did well with the performance cars they sold. I have a couple of the kits in my stash, as I want to do both paint schemes. There were a few of them that did not get the paint striping, and many a person got fooled by them, thinking it was a slug. They were quite fast, and an excellent buy for the money.
  23. I have a lot of resin kits in my collection to go with my styrene kits, and may add a few more to it as finances will allow. I have seen some out there with proportion and resin quality issues that I will not ever touch. I have been burnt before buying bad resin castings, and I am not going to be again. Recently, I picked up some of Air Trax' offerings, And I am very happy with them. I have a Motor City '67 Galaxie on the way, and some parts. I missed a few of the Modelhaus offerings since they closed up shop. But as of now, I am not looking for any more kits, as I have much more than I can ever build in a lifetime..
