  1. Nice work! I have an unbuilt MPC '72 Vega that I may do something like that with.
  2. Just give me the box. I have enough '57 Chevy Kits to last two lifetimes.
  3. I like the Bonnevilles personally. Either the '66 or the '67 will work for me. I have a '66 Hardtop built up, and another one in the collection, that may be turned into a convertible. I love those full sized cars from that era, no matter the make.
  4. Beautiful!
  5. I love it!!!! I'm going to do one of those myself in Yellow, with a black vinyl roof and interior. My uncle had a '67 LTD and a good friend's grandmother had a Galaxie 500 in that color combination. And besides, I have the paint.
  6. Mike, This is one of my favorite kits, as I have built 3 of them, and have several more to do one day. I like what you are doing with this.
  7. Impressive work!!!! I picked up my Suburban today, and I like it!!!
  8. I love it!!!!
  9. Personally, I like the '57 Ford over the '58, but this build is making me rethink my opinion. I have a decent resin '58 in my collection. Not Modelhaus quality, but very workable. I may incorporate the headlamps into my build of the car, when I get around to it before I die. The mods you are incorporating into the build are very tasteful.
  10. Bill. You can make a Palmer Kit look good. This engine is coming along nicely. I love to see the car you put this jewel in.
  11. Those are my wire wheel of choice. I have used them on several builds, changing the spinner, as I do not care for the one in the kit. Those wheels look remarkably similar to the Appliance Bolt on wire wheels from the '70's that my dad had on his '77 Continental Mark V. I have an unbuilt annual '65 Buick Riviera with the narrow set.
  12. Of course Photobucket wiped out the pictures in my posts, and I am not happy about it. The company made a business decision, which in my humble opinion is terrible ( I could have said something else, but I do not operate that way). I apologize to the members of the board who has not seen my work in advance, as I am not going to pay the price that Photobucket requested, nor am I going to transfer the pictures from the company onto another site, as there are just too many to do. There is a silver lining in all of this. I get to clean up some of my builds, take new photos, and link them up elsewhere, so I can post them. Of course I am going to get back into building, as I have been in a real slump. Now if Photobucket makes a decision to lower the price to a much more reasonable price point, I may entertain that program.
  13. That is a fantastic build!!!! I have a glue-bomb that I cleaned up and some Keith Marks Decals waiting for it. I like the idea of using the Revell Torino Chassis and running gear,
  14. Both of them are very nice!!!!
  15. I have their '70 Road Runner, and it is very good. It is based from the old 1/25 JoHan, which I prefer over the Revell 1/24 offering. I scrapped an old broken, built up '70 Super bird I built back when I was in high school for the interior and the chassis. I may adapt an AMT '68 Road Runner chassis and running gear to it for a more detailed build. I looked at their catalog, and they have some interesting pieces I may have to invest in.
  16. No. This would be a good project for an enterprising 3-d Caster.
  17. Fantastic work!!!! I am sorry that I missed this one, but I am happy to have seen it.
  18. Last week, I received a '67 Ford XL Hardtop trans kit form Motor City. The quality of the casting is superb, as was the service from Jeff, as.It took one week longer than the anticipated date, but it was well worth it, as Jeff E-Mailed me with the information that they were re-doing the body as the molds were nearly worn out. The casting is as beautiful as the styrene one I sold off a couple of years ago. I did nit take any photos, but go to their site, and the kit breakdown photo is very accurate. You are on you own for chrome plating, which is a plus as it keeps the costs down. I plan to mate mine with an AMT '66 Ford for the chassis, running gear, under hood parts, and other incidentals. It will be quite a while before I get to it, as I have so many builds ahead of it. http://www.motorcityresincasters.com/
  19. Thanks a lot for the comprehensive review of the kit Chris. I have been doing a lot of research on this one since the kit was announced, and it looks to me that this kit has the basics to do a nice replica of a classic mid '60's Chevy Suburban. The tires in this kit look like the ones that were in the original Monogram '59 Cadillac Eldorado kit, which were a decent set of B.F.Goodrich Silvertowns with separate white wall inserts. Personally I do not care for the wide whites on a car past 1961, so I will be modifying mine to be either black walls, or a narrow band white wall tires. There are not too many photographs of a 1966 Suburban out there, but a '64 or '65 can also be done with a front emblem swap, which are included in the 1964 and 1965 Chevrolet pickup kits, and the Model Car Garage's '64-5 Chevy truck photo etch set also has the emblems. I will probably do mine as a '64 or '65 just to be different. I want to build it as a tow rig for a drag car and trailer.
  20. Outstanding!!!!!!
  21. I'm jealous! I have a derelict '72 Resin kit that I may combine with an AMT '70, as I cannot afford a decent '72, and the one you have looks very nice.
