  7. Hey, hats off to Bart !!!!!!!!!!!! Second , the Dencon resin pieces were meant to fit the "Annual " Bonniville A M T model kit as the pieces were part of the "Mild Custom parts ". I'm told some MINOR trimming MAY be nessesary to make it fir the NEW Catilinia body. Bart, keep on truckin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  8. Naw John, the 38 if thats what ya call it is a reincarnated Boyd rod . Testors did it back in the deep darkk ninties . Linburg managed to resruect the tool and pop it out as pehaps , a "new model ".............. Hey, have fun with it , it wasn't my type of a build then . Ed Shaver
  9. Try looking at the Revell 1956 Ford F-100 truck kit as a powerplant alternative ........... Ed Shaver
  10. Heck, don't ask me or us , ask one of the judges running the contest . Seems different rules apply in different contests . I had a similar situation when I tryed to enter a Out of the box with instructions 59 Rambler wagon in Out of box . They made me run it with Curbsiders . Ed Shaver
  11. Rick, without a doubt, you've done yer homework . The paint , posters , the water behind , fablous sir , everything works ! Ed Shaver
  12. Tommy, yer not alone my friend . Heck, I'm still trying to learn how to even use a computer ! Ed Shaver Oh, I still have an AT & T Rotary , works too !
  13. Street machines as defined here in Virginia 's D M V when we had licence plates to the effect were defined as cars built with modified power plants made from 1900 to 1949. These same guidelines are generally adhered to in the Goodguys events and National Hot Rod association rule books . Ed Shaver
  14. Bear, I was set up accross the asile from Donn a couple of years ago. Donn amazed me by his talents the entire day showing everyone how to be a foist cklass panter !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  15. For the benifit of those wanting to do so , a Stock 40 is doable using suspension pieces from a A M T 40 Ford sedan . I did this one several years ago and then included it into a diorama I did . Ed Shaver
  16. Nice save on the trailer . I actually did a story on building car trailers for a local I P M S a good twenty years ago along with a history of trailers that were part of A M T , Monogram, Revell and Auroura kits . Ed Shaver
  17. I know this is taking the topic , "Off Course " but I want to plug Norman Veeber here . Norman does supplu the Mod Squad figures from the old Auroura 1950 Mercury and a set of Three figgures he calls "Mom , Pop , and the kids " . I have the mom and pop set and yes , they trim out nicely I might add. If you look at the center of the Shell building , you can see the Gentleman and his da\ughter . I saved the Wife and a baby for another diorama , soon to be prevued here ............. Ed Shaver
  18. What sturck me so was the fact that this packaging is VERY VERY reminessesant of the "Origional " Sunoco cottages built on the eastern seaboard in the late 1920' s. All had a distinct "Humped " roof and were tiled in Slate , Blue . Go to the Hemmings Motor News site to see such a building . Ed Shaver
  19. Dis is the Mercury Cougar XR-7 dey shouldda built ! Ed Shaver
  20. Great pictures ! now i just hope that P. E. T. A aint gonna sue ya over somethin frivioulous ..................... Ed Shaver
  21. Anything American, rear wheel drive and built before Elvis went to da great gasoline station / drive through in da sky........... Anything built AFTER Elvis in my opinion has no taste , worthyness or business being on the road ! Ed Shaver
  22. Didn't the Beatnik Bandit II Have a Ed Roth Figure ? Some one gave me one and told me it was from there . I have to say, a good likeness of Ed too. Ed Shaver
  23. Very impressive , what with the color and the style of the car.........Ed Shaver
  24. Mark, actually a company did do the "Snoot" Econoline , only it was a diecast with a sliding side door in 1-24th scale . Wal- Mart had them I guess a good Four years ago now . I got the last Ford that the close by store had . They also did a 76 Chevrolet too. I'll give the company this , The Graphics on the sides were kida cheesey, but the overall details were decent . Meanwhile , I had this ,this old M P C van , has potential , provided ya can deal with the wierd 1-20th scale and the fact it depicted as a 1 ton van . In the real world , they were known as E- 300's . I had one . Oh yeah , it was a gas hog too. Still, I'll give it credit , I went to too many Truck - ins around the Gulf Coast . The heater was a piece of junk though . Thankfully, the newer Econolines that followed in 1975 were much much better . Hey , truck looks fine, I'm eager to see more progress, regardless of scale ........ ! Ed Shaver
  25. Yeah, I guess you could strip parts an do the Alclad route . Ed Shaver
