  1. Wow. I really like that!
  2. You would have thought the owner noticed this missing. Hosted on Fotki
  3. VERY well done! Excellent styling and execution. The detail is great!
  4. Sorry, no plates. This may have runs its course. But who knows. Hosted on Fotki
  5. Now, you're talkn'! Thanks! Not stolen?! That IS a surprise. Can't wait for the next installment, Scott
  6. You guys did a great job on finding out what it was in it's glory days. What do we need to find out who it belonged to? May be a good story there. Scott
  7. WOW!!This is cool, Ira. You are doing a great job with it. Imagination is definitely your sidekick. It kinda looks like the coolest and fastest hero sandwich on the planet. Scott
  8. That is very sweet. Very tight execution! Well done, Harry!
  9. It might have been a 318. I was going from memory. I tried to find an owner, but the internet wold not give that info up to me.
  10. This is the first place I've ever posted it. I did send a pic to Hot Rod for their Scene by Readers section. No response. I wonder if there is someone out there who never found out where their Challenger ended up.
  11. This is is an abandoned Challenger that is resting in a ravine behind a friend's housing tract. You can see it from his backyard, but you can't see it from the road at the top of the ravine. We hiked down and shot some pics. To my surprise I still had a vin tag on the door. I found out that it is a 73 Challenger that was built in LA. It came with a 383. 4BBL. How it got in the ravine, I would love to know. Any sleuths out there?
  12. Good stuff. I remember wayyy back in the 80s going to a mall for Christmas shopping and trolling the lanes for a parking space. All filled up. I eventually passed a Camaro taking up two space. Someone had used pink nail polish to write them a message about their parking strategy. References were to small, backside body parts and parking skills.
  13. Here is Bud Anderson's build of that kit. His picture is on the side of the box. Hosted on Fotki Some other clear kits I had or have: Speed Racer Mach 5 An older Datsun 1600 convertible The Mr Gasser Mustang Me and my friend Tim Lantz totally fell for the Clearview 2000 gag. We found out when we started talking about using it at a model club meeting. Doh! Scott
  14. Guess I'm the only one that likes this idea. I was actually dreaming of something similar with full build options (every nut and bolt) to some more of a model kit. Being able to customize the body and other parts would also be cool. Then you could drive and race your creation in a virtual world filled with other builders and their creations. The streets would have shops with links to real business web sights. Not as a replacement to actual model building, just as another creative building experience. Scott
  15. Wow. I am just blown away. We definitely have a new player here. I'll be looking for more of your threads. Amazing work! Scott
  16. Lauren, I really liked her. Key Largo is a great movie. #3? Did we forget Phillip S. Hoffman? Another tragedy. My wife, who usually has no sympathy for addicts, said - when I asked her how could someone who seems to have it all throw away their life on heroin, - "Addition does not care about success." Scott
  17. Colbert did a funny segment on this. Said they spend a good deal of money to be able to do that. To me it ranks right up there with earthquake stereos.
  18. Nice to see this one in the finished section. I really enjoyed watching you create this amazing set. The work is top notch and a please to look at. Excellent!
  19. Just wanted to see if the tread was still working. Miss the updates.
  20. Way cool, dave! You always come up the best ideas! As usual, the theme detail, such as she weeds in the roller are perfect!
  21. Wow. First time on this thread. Best reading in months. I have a mothballed opener behind the shed. It may be savable.
  22. Wow. That is just awesome! Very original, stunning!
  23. I thought it was something realtors said. "Yes, It's in a flood plane, but it is a 100 year flood." Then the buyer figures the 100 years starts from the time they buy the house. Happened to a friend of mine outside of Sacramento. They lost a lot.
