  1. i really oughta post some pis of my entry, i finished it a few weeks ago but havent had a chance to take pics at all
  2. sounds like a plan harry...but you should make sure it ALWAYS opens up in a new window...just in case the door sticks
  3. i am perfectly situated there is one less then 5 minutes from my house that carries nothing but the basics...perfect for when i run out of styrene in the middle of a build then there is a great model shop about 45 minutes from here that carries everything i could ever want perfect for when i have some money to spend and far enough where its no temptation when i dont have the moneys
  4. we're still here Jairus...just scared of the competition as for updates, i have my body mostly done the glass is in , interior ready to go in all that is left to "make" is the exhaust other then that its a mather of putting stuff together
  5. so if one were to build the 273 from that kit...what would be the era correct colour to paint it?
  6. ask him how much he wants for the new wife
  7. somehow i dont think that engine will have adequate oil presure
  8. no slant 6 in my coca cola truck, just the aforementioned LA and hemi
  9. there are a few resin casters out there who make them...i think replicas and miniatures of maryland has both these here merlins AND the allisons
  10. this kit has 2 V8s, that i learned today is a 273 LA and what i believe is a 426 hemi (though it may very well be a 385 hemi, the hilborn system seems more era correct for that vintage..a desoto firepower maybe?)
  11. so a small block V8 ? that will work for my aplication just fine much obliged
  12. hey guys, i have the dodge A-100 cocacola truck (the repackaged little red wagon) and it comes with the racing hemi aswell as the stock mill just out of curiousity, what is that stock engine?
  13. im really excited to get my parts from him i've been waiting on a order to come in (i understand he does this on the side and soemtimes life gets in the way)
  14. i have seen it before on a certain forum where the same system was in place but it was based on "feedback" so if i make a post that is very helpful then someone can go on my profile and leave positive feedback then on the other hand, if i were to post a terrible model (lets say a general lee with opening doors) you could leave negative feedback all this put together would make up a "score" for me that gives others a idea on how serious to take my post
  15. so with 2 pages of discussion on this subject, excactly how many smileys could have been posted instead ? in all seriousness, i agree, maybe not so much because of the space (after all, were not storing this on my attic) then for ease of "conversation" i also agree with all everything else said about qouting pictures maybe we can set up a system (i have seen this on other forums) where you need to have a minumum letter count for a reply to be posted in which case a smiley would be below minumum
  16. yes, you get one for EVERY pointless smiley you post without any comments
  17. looks good im expecting a package from Alan soon myself...cant wait
  18. looks cool my 2 cents...open the passenger door and weld shut the drivers
  19. no sir, that is based on a honda civic, and i wouldnt sink that low if you tied one to my neck and dropped me off a cliff but since you brung it up, here a pic of rufus
  20. i think i have a set of rims, a tank and maybe some more stuff leftover from one of those bikes aswell shoot me a PM if your interested
  21. the what now ? and shouldnt there be an official build thread first ?
  22. yes, but who will build a 1/25 scale
  23. there are a few kits out there that have them one idea might be the re release from the little red wagon , this time done up as a cocacola machine it comes with a stock engine (440 ?) aswell as the hemi from the LRW with the hillborn injection (sorry, no pics) then there is the modified stockers 53 ford pickup race car hauler it comes with a great 396 firedome hemi that also has a nice hilborn injection both of these kits will supply you with a hemi with hilborn for your project AND a second engine to put in the actual build
  24. As for the boards not sticking into the cab... I thought about that. But felt my build corrects what I always believed was a flaw in the Hot Wheels car and a concession to it being a toy. Otherwise wouldn't they have riveted the boards to the deck and made them not removable? (Which incidentally Mattel actually DID do with the latter releases.) Thanks for posting it in the "Under Glass" section. could be i changed the date Jairus...but i dont think i did. if it was set for late july it would be a 1.5 month build which i dont think i ever did but then again, i might have too bad about the twin mill, im sure you would have made it look spot on as for the boards, i totally see your point but im not sure how i feel about it i mean, you are totally correct in saying yours is better (more life like) then the origenal but we were going for that, we were going for replicating the hotwheel not a critique at all thoug, just a though thats cool, i never knew they made a 1/50 scale series
