  1. im having a hard time finding the right kit (trade didnt go through) im still planning on building something but i might change my entry
  2. you know, there is a reason they put hoodpins on those cars nice build, just curious, why did you glue the shaker to the hood ?
  3. most snap kits, if build OOB can be build in less then 20 minutes i would guess part counts at about 25 and like the guys said,it is a good starter kit for example, i just bought my 12 year old nephew the same bel air as pictured above as his very first model kit i was actually very impressed with that one, it was the first snap kit i ever saw with adjustable suspension (read: 2 sets of holes for the axles to go through) there are some really nice snap kits out there, some of which are impossible to find in a regular kit like this one dodge dually (repainted and slightly customized: shaker, rims)
  4. that and the slant of the windshield in order for the hood to properly "hug" the contours of the glass you want to ad the piece to the top you should do fine Jim that is also how i build the AAR hood on this cuda (in the second picture you can see what i mean with fitting to the windshield)
  5. thanks i still havent decided if i want to have a fire or just build it like there was one last night
  6. its missing more then just the instructions...that is only the boxtop
  7. i find there are two ways for me to get out of the funk (and as you saw, we all get into funks from time to time) the one way is what is most suggested here, just grab a simple model, maybe even a snap kit and have at it after 45 minutes you got something to put on the self and you can say "hey, i finished one today" the other way is the total opposite, start making something that requires so much effort, creativity and cutting and scratching (building that is) that it will jumpstart the creative juices (kinda like that shot of adrenaline right in the heart) maybe take a revell tuner kit and see if you can turn it into a rear engine dragster or take a 94 impala and turn it into a bass fishing boat
  8. sounds like that is the tip of the day thanks
  9. thanks, ill see what i can come up with (not in a hurry anyways)
  10. that is a nice stash you got there gotta love the old MPC kits im afriad they want big bucks for those though ? for the model im building it shoudlnt matter too much...when they made the 3 movie in the series and started filming the TVshows they used an impala because they couldnt find a caprice
  11. hey guys, im wondering if there is a model kit out for this car ? i want to build one of the most iconic movie cars ever (sadly only fellow member erik onlijsma will know it) id prefer a convert but id settle for a hardtop and a razor saw
  12. bah...yer no fun
  13. id hate to tell you this...but...erm...those wheelie bars go on the other end
  14. i noticed that myself aswell bo worries, ill figure something out
  15. cant go wrong with a hemi cuda
  16. its all good Jim, i wouldnt wanna take away the glass you need but if you can let go of the other one im sure i can make it work (no big deal if you cant, ill find something)
  17. i just so happen to be building the yellow version (its hard to tell with the body allready in primer but i assure you it is) anything you are looking for in return ?
  18. just have at it and start building you will learn as you go along and when you get stuck well be right here to help you out because we've all gotten stuck before i would suggest putting up a WIP (Work In Progress) thread up once you gest started and we'll talk you through it as for the 40% off coupons, go online to both micheals and hobby lobby and sign up for the email updates this way you will get the coupons in the email
  19. thanks rob, im a sucker for superbirdwings, they looks great on any old mopar as for the engine, its a stock 426 hemi with the log mani from the 396 (or so) desoto firedome speaking of darts, i have one on the bench thats waiting on some go fast goodies from Ma's Resin its a 76 or so model with a corvette scoop molded to the hood and a 440 engine
  20. thanks guys jim, i thought about building one as a car hauler but too many people done that already you know...if your making two into one...i could use the glass as for raising it up...i dont have the stock frame or any other underpinnings so im just gonna build it however it looks right
