thanks for the info i will be using a revell 32 body and frame ,altered to look like the artwork not sure about the year or origin of the flathead, but im working out a deal as we speak ill do my best to make it look right would you be able to tell the difference between 32 and 40 wheels ? because i am planning on using the kits stockers on wider rear tires and they look right to me as for my name, its dutch, fries to be exact and it means noble blooded which doesnt say much because i was named after a guitar player my parents like he was the lead player for a band called cuby and the blizzards so i guess i got of lucky, i could have been called cuby

yes but its just like with women, that can have killer bodies, but if they have a louzy attitude it brings the whole down while a women with a mediocre body but great attitude and a kind smile is hard to pass up

we have a saying where im from "beter goed gestolen dan slecht bedacht" roughly translated it means its better to have stolen something good then to have thought up something bad

i just picked up my kit today i went with the revell 2 in 1 1932 ford five winder coupe that i will update to a 34 (i went with the 32 because it allows me to ad 6 scale inches to the front of the frame rather then spread out like the actual 34 has it and it will give a great visual effect) Jairus, i noticed that some of the artwork has descriptions is there something available for mine ?

looks good to me to be honoust im not seeing the tiger stripe as for the tape stripe, that is pretty common, 3 coats of clear should smooth that out specially if you polish the clear

Need HELP! How to put DENTs in body?
diymirage replied to raymanz's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
let the wife drive it that how i get dents in my cars just the other day she managed to back my car into her car -
nice start there jairus somehow i feel you have an unfair advantage since you know what the artwork actually depicted and know all the intimate details of it lol, just kidding man looking good as for starting your own thread, i would just keep them all in one post not only does it keep everything easier to follow, it also keeps the thread on the top of the forum because of the updates

im hoping the clear coat will help them set they arent all that bad, its just on the passenger side front fender where the two sligtly overlap that it looks off

got a little bit of work done on the 440 i scratchbuild the dizzy and wired the coil other then that it will be OOB (still need to ad the fan, starter and oil filter, maybe even the heat riser tube) i also got some paint down on the body it hurts a little at first glance but i think the body of the charger is strong enough to pull it off (almost ugly enough to be a true high impact dodge colour) as you can tell the hood decal is missing it was the first one i tried to put on and i didnt even think to check if they cut out the center section for the louvers well, it turned out they didnt (which really surprised me because they cut out the center of the air filter decal) so when i tried to cut it out myself it broke (i placed a post in the wanted section for a replacement)

Separate Community Build Forum?
diymirage replied to highway's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
one thing to keep in mind is that about 95 % of the comunity builds here originated with the forum members so if you want to start one, go right ahead -
yes BUT i will be using a 32 5 winder coupe for the model
-
you mean this one ? its mine

Separate Community Build Forum?

there is at least five i can mention of the top of my head jarius artwork build as you would order drag import muscle car movie cars post apocolipse 5 out of those six are in the "workbench" section, the drag import build off is in the drag racing section i do think it is a good idea though to ad a separate tab for them -
considering that VW includes bugatti, audi, lamborghini and as of next year, porsche, im pretty sure that if the challenge was taken up seriously this woulb be nothing but a blue speck in a german build rear view mirror its a nice model though but i would love to see someone on the board here take up your challenge id enter my wildcart but that is a 56 model and it would just be enbarrasing if that beat you

you know what...i just might enjoy this there is no telling what car i will get right ? or do i get to pick ? (anything mopar will do) so shoot me an envelop or a PM but keep in mind that if there is too much involved that is not in my stash it will be a few months before i get started also...where is this meet you were talking about ? if it is not in michigan write me down for the email entry i think the intake from the yankee challenge will work

PSV is the name of a soccer team, it stands for Phillips Sport Vereniging and they hail from a city in the Netherlands called Eindhoven. i grew up about 25 miles south of there and whatever college education i got i got in Eindhoven. oostfront means eastern front and it is a nick name for the supporters group that always sat on the east side of the stadium and i considered a hooligan group. ive been a fan of the team all my life though i never had any connections with the hooligans ive had that scarf in the rear window of every 1:1 car i have had im thinking the only way to reproduce it i to take a picture of it, scan it and turn it into a decal

are we really taking an entire year for this build ?
-
the truck looks great and that colour looks very nice on it but what in the world is up with you pinecone shape soap dispenser

hey guys after my big adventure with the lowrider im starting a mostly OOB build for my son this will be a 1971 dodge charger painted the same lime green that his uncle painted the shelf it will be on in his room im planning on keeping the 440 magnum (started building it today) and short of (maybe) a set of rims the only custom feature will be a PSV oostfront scarf proudly portrayed in the rear shelf (if i can ever find a decen image of it) im expecting to get this done pretty fast due to the low low level of customizing involved will ad pictures tomorow of the engine and whatever else i get done

thanks to be honoust, the kit was a gift from a fellow member, i initially only traded some parts for the driver but the member was kind enough to send the entire kit out to me i generally build mopar muscle cars but i had been wanting to do something with the hood decal and i thought it would only look good on a lowrider so i put two and two twogether and build this
-
thats off to a great start really cant go bad with that car and engine combo
-
looks good in the green if i might make a suggestion..get yourself a nice sharp razor and cut a small oh ever so small section out of the deck stripe right where the panel lines for the trunklid are it will give you so much more depth also, if you ar in the market for some more superbees make sure you get one ro two or twenty of the AMT 1970 pro street superbees they come with the DOHC hemi
-
there is an how to in the tips tricks and suggestions section also, great job on the fierb (figured since half the car is gone so is half the letters in the name)

thanks for the kind words guys this turned out to be a really fun build when i first got started i thought it might end up being more of a chore then fun since it wasnt what i normally like building but in building something so far out there is a lot of freedom and that is pretty cool it definatly got the building juices flowing again im pretty hyped up to get the wildcart finished now (for those of you who dont know the wildcart, its a 5some VW bug converted to a pickemuptruck with a custom turbo'd GTI engine mated to a supras rear wheel drive system...come to think of it...the dash is the largest stock part in the model) only thing is, i got so many left over parts from the pontiac laying around the table, its gonna take forever to get this cleaned up and sorted
