sounds like a nobel cause i have a 69 charger and some parts that might work for you would the 69 be a good mockup for this to see if the parts (rollgace mainly) fit your bird?
-
yes i do know and yes it did come either with or without the vinyl top all kidding aside the 68 was a hardtop, the 69 is vinyl the 69 is the exact same car but minus the go fast goodies and extra hemi engine if you want both you can combine the two kits or, if you dont wanna buy the two kits i have a 69 vinyl body i wouldnt mind swapping for the 68 body plus a tiny form of reimburtstment, maybe a set of wheels or something ? (when i build the 68 hardtop i used the front and rear facia of the 69 kit so i know they swap in perfectly)
-
looks good overall but you might want to check the pressure in that driverside rear tire
-
thanks i added some clear and polished and waxed it and it looks great i tried taking some more pictures but they dont do justice to the paintjob now i gotta get myself to build the actuall kit
-
it works as follows you shoot fletch an email that you want to join he in his place sends you two emails, one to say welcome and one containing a picture of jairus' artwork then its up to you to replicate it as best as possible of course, you want to start by asking jairus to describe what he had in mind when drawing this then you start scavenging for kits and parts and get going

cleaning models fall under cleaning therefor, the wifey does it

nope, im talking about cars that only need to last 1/4 mile at a time -
thanks for the offer bernie but im not looking to spend that much money on this build still a one income family for a little while longer so i gotta limit my resources i am however putting this on hold to work out a trade for a special part more news when the trade is finished and said part is installed
-
silly ? it could pass for a late 90 detomaso or lambo to be honoust, i think this loos a lot more like a sportscar then a production corvette

that is such a silly argument who cares who is second ? ford or chevy mopar will always be first anyway -
just run of the mill laquer thinner i keep a tin of it by my spraybooth and shoot it through my airbrush after every use (even when i used acrylic paint last) i put some polish in a bottle and added however much thinner made it flow nice so far im not unpleased with the way it came our for a first try
-
fun only, best i know there isnt even a way we rate which one comes in "first" feel free to donate something youd think would be a good first prize and well come up with something as for joining in, feel free the whole idea of the build is mainly something to gather over, a common interest and such

that looks like an awesome car and i really like the whale tail but im building this OOB all im adding is wires and most likely some centerlines well, since you asked nicely for some reason the pictures show it more blue then the purple it looks like in real life its a nice colour but it looks an awefull lot like a firebird cant wait to see what it looks like cleared and polished
-
well, since the charger is nearing the finish line i decided to build something completly out of my comfort zone...a chevy my wife bought me this kit ages ago so i have to build it i decided to try to spray some of this nailpolish ive been hearing about and try that out here is the body, all cleaned up, primered and based in rattle can german silver i am spraying the purple pizza polish as we speak so i should have pics of that tomorrow (allmost looks like a firebird actually) this is such a silly car, it has a transverse mounted V8 while my 1:1 passat has a longtitudinal turbo 4

its yours now but you didny build it so if it were my call it would iether be dissasembked and rebuild or it would be stripped for parts -
thanks, im really taking a liking to it actually looks like one of the high impact colours mopars had out for a while thanks i am really pleased with the way that came out this is the first time o actually like the ralleys on a model i might have to go back and do a wash on some older models

reminds me of something i've "played" on several other forums "name that car" the object was simple one member would post a picture of a car, iether something obscure or something heavily modified or nything like that and then other members would post thier guesses once a member would geuss correct it was their "turn" to post a picture -
looks nice what are you going to use for the scallops on the door ?
-
it looks good in the first few shots but onces you got it oustside and teh sun really hits those waves it looks amazing great job
-
or those clear plastic containers strawberries come in
-
sounds like a elcamino in the making lol i cant beleive how smooth the body in the riv looks gonna be sweet
-
thanks this is the first time i used a black wash on the ralleys and im quite pleased with the way it worked out wasnt sure about the red trim around the grille/headlight area but i think the redline wheels pull it all together i didnt end up putting the scarf in the back since i couldnt find a decent picture online and i couldnt be bothered to pull my own out of the 'ssat
-
got the body installed today still have some details left to do, mainly in the engine bay but this is the way she will sit (i decided to ad the redline tires to flow with the red trim in the grill (in case any of you guys are wondering if you can hand paint that on, say, a superbee)
