  1. well, congrats on the achivement that is a really mice little car you got there i got the same options if i were to combine my AWD charger with my turbo passat looking at that picture you can see where opel and isuzu had a common parts bin that little hoodscoop had kadett GTI written all over it
  2. i remember when i was younger and replacing a blown engine was not only considered routine maintenance, it also happened to be the interval for changing the oil
  3. kinda like when toyota first started selling trucks in the US the general opinion was that thier trucks sucked untill the people at toyota realised that if you label a truck as a half ton truck the average truck owner will load it with one ton of payload label a truck as a two tonner and they will drop three to four ton in there so toyota started labeling there one ton trucks as half tonners and have enjoyed a much better reputation ever since on a side note, i hear thier new slogan i "nothing can stop us now"
  4. so this is the reverse of you ?
  5. before i bought the wifey the charger she had the aveo lol
  6. thanks for that picture jairus i think i went with a little less extreme a chop...keeping in mind im 6 foot 2 and id like to pretend i would fit in the 1:1
  7. you do realize that there are more people from the netherlands on this forum right ? i understand your upset (though i dont know why) but id like to caution you not to use such wide descriptions of the people involved, the whole thing might escalade and thats the last thing we want, theres enough drama on here allready
  8. you know, if you would take the ridiculous large rims on the one and the ridiculous small one on the other, on average the rimsize is halfway decent
  9. decals should be in the mail on monday all i need is an adres
  10. thanks i did shave a hair more of the body and im cutting open the roof as we speak this is definatly out of my comfort zone and the idea of buiying a prefabbe body is nice but i just dont have the budget at the moment so ill just keep scraping away at it
  11. i prefer the nail clipper aproach
  12. thanks that sure is a radical chop on the artwork maybe ill sand her down just a hair or two more
  13. got a little chop done to be honoust, i think this looks pretty good but it might need a little bit more...what do you guys think ?
  14. thanks you know, i wasnt to sure about it when i first started but i think it looks very nice once i got used to it specially with the white/green interior
  15. funny thing i thought about the differences and the only two that i was aware of were the 6 inches in the wheelbase and the grille the hood handles and louvers arent a big issue in this build since they wont be installed i just might try to figure out how to make it look more like the 34 after all for some reason there are two firewalls in the kit so i could install both of them, one facing the way it should and one modified to look like....a.....34 on the bright side, the coupe is a convertible now i better get that top matched back up
  16. thanks im about to get going on it i wonder if i should install the firewall backwards it looks to portrude in the drawing but the model i have is dented
  17. thanks for the info after further investigation, that line indeed is there and there is a texture to the insert iether way, it needs to go i think ill do it both at the same time, chop the roof (theres a first for me) then open it up and reattach should be interesting i wonder if i should post a want ad for a new body yet
  18. got enough work done on the car to do some mock up shots the motor is close to done and all the interior needs is a steering wheel and the scarf for the back i also got a chance to do a mock up of the body and frame the front end sits a little higher then it will when done
  19. well, here is the beginning of my JWAC build when all is set and done, this should end up looking like this the model in the drawing is a 34 but i will be using the revell 2-1 ford 32 and updating it to a 34 i got the flathead in the mail the other day and it looks like im alset minus the headers and carbs one of my biggest concerns right now is the order in which to chop up the cab the roof needs to be lowered and a sunroof needs to be added if i keep the roof closed it will be much stronger to chop the top on the other hand, if i open the roof first it will be less stressfull on the pillars
  20. when i first saw it i thought 1980s CIA trying not to get noticed lol looks good but i would suggest going down a size or two in the plug wires reminds me of a ford i build when i got done it looked like it had radiator hose for plugwires
  21. thats a great car as for rims, i know this is sacrilidge BUT what about the rims one the concept (and later 2009 production) camaro ? as for decals, make em yourself , nothing to it i have a hood scoop we could trade if you needs it
  22. we need to start instituing cliff notes this is all way to much text
  23. you know, i used to work as an overhaul mechanic building VW engines and a lot or them had aluminum oilpans and let me tell you, the really do, shall we say, corrode it does not turn what in car terms is called "ford brown" but more of a white as mentioned but it most certainly rusts now, as for how to achive this in a model, i have no idea
  24. try hitting print screen and then open a word document and hit paste it just might work but im not making any promises
