  1. Also, try Meijer if you have them in Oregon.....they carry the same line as Ed was just talking about (they will be in the toys section and are very detailed and well painted!).
  2. 1995 CobraR rims can be found in the Tamiya kit (the 1995 Cobra R kit) that pops up on Ebay from time to time. PM me if you want to discuss what I have in parts (as I have about 35 Fox Chassis kits in my stash), or we would have to start another section just for the Fox bodies (as there are a few here who are into them!).
  3. As for Fox specific parts.....there are VERY few aftermarket. Reliable Resins (dons flame suit) does some stuff, but some here have had ill luck actually getting stuff from them. Most custom Fox parts you will have to make yourself or modify from other kits.
  4. Looks like the Monogram hood on the AMT body. I am a Fox-Chassis guy myself (I own an 83 vert, 84 TurboGT, 86GT Ttop, and a 91GT), so if you want some pointers, I would be happy to help.
  5. There are many different ways to do rust. But before you do that, I see you are also looking for a 5.0 kit that you want to trade other stuff for.....I am assuming that is because it is incomplete (as you mention). What are you missing from the kit? I may have some parts you can have, and you won't have to rust out the car.
  6. OUTSTANDING build! I would be proud to drive the real version if it looked this nice. You did a great job with this kit!
  7. Looks like something Hunter S. Thompson would 'trip' over!! Fear and Loathing here I come!! In all honesty, it is cool to look at....reminds me of a motorcycle tank I did for a guy.
  8. I have the same Ghia kit (although mostly built and started back in 1993) an LOVE what you are doing with it.
  9. Billy, that is what I am talking about (in the above link)! I think it will add a little sophistication to the 'old school'; tying the modern wheels and engine in nicely with the vintage of the paint and 'style' of the car.
  10. That..........is..........NICE!!!
  11. Not quite like that intake, but that IS sexy! Drill the intake as it were for standaed EFI and just detail the carbs to look like throttle bodies instead of carbs.
  12. Just gauging interest in this subject. I have a unit (origin unknown, but 1/25th scale) that I will be duplicating and adding the 'door' butterfly detail, as well as the early fuel distribution block (for the side feed set-up versus the baseplate feed set-up) and the linkage rods/butterfly linkage. I have a secret love for FEDs (dad has a 150" Chassis Research car) and would like to help others with their love for them as well. I will get some pics up when the masters are done and the first repops are cast.
  13. Thanks again guys! MCM looks to be getting the nod, as the gentleman just gave me the go-ahead to purchase what is needed.
  14. One thing to remember when adapting that tunnel ram to the 4.6/5.4 from the GT500/Cobra series........the heads are dual port per cylinder (or at least my Lincoln MKVIII LSC 'B' heads are). I like the idea of the tunnel-ram set up; how about building it with EFI fuel rails and injectors, and turn the carbs into throttle-bodies?
  15. You guys are great! Thanks again......I have some answers for my friend (and some work for myself now, since he will more than likely have me build it!).
  16. Again, after some searching, I post a question on needing another resin body (you guys helped me find the 33 Willys, so I turn to you for advice once again). I see R&R and Perrys Resin have 1969 Impalas available. Any thoughts on these, or any other suggestions? As this will not be for me, I do not want to steer the gentleman I am searching for this for wrong (as he is a good friend and a co-worker). Thank you for your help MCMers!
  17. Beautiful build. Dads' rail is a 150" Chassis Research car that was run out of Central Michigan in the middle to late 60s'; and this build reminds me of his car. Awesome work!
  18. Very good looking. I would be proud to display it in my cabinet.
  19. You are correct....I did forget the big 'box' Fox-birds of 80-82.
  20. Dang Ron..........they got you worse than they got me. And you still haven't recieved your order yet? I had to resort to threats of legal action to get my stuff.
  21. They're all good builds, but (not that my opinion is worth anything) the rail just looks good! The only thing I see on it that says 'model' is the gloss of the front tires. Everything else is just 'right'.
  22. Well, I can tell you this from personal experience; the castings are quite nice with minimal clean-up required. just don't be wanting to get your order any time this year. I ordered several bodies from them and found that all I got was excuses and threats when I would confront them about what was taking so long. The final straw that REALLY pissed me off was they were selling the exact bodies on EBay AFTER I ordered mine and were telling me they were having problems with getting mine cast. Good product, crappy customer service (or at least that was the case 2 years ago).
  23. Might want to get the alignment looked at!! In all seriousness though, I love AMXs and can't wait to see how this one turns out.
  24. Nice! One of the car club guys has an 87 T-Coupe in the Silver shade and I like it. So did you detail out the 2.3T as well?
  25. Formula.................personal opinion is it is just a better 'presentation' car (it just shows better).
