  1. mock up!
  2. Nice! AMT or Monogram?
  3. Number 5 in the stash bash- another project gotten in trade from someone who lost interest in it. Considerable modifications to the chassis, especially where the transverse spring will mount. Going with an old weathered rusty hot rod- not a barn find- not a rat rod- with an Eddie Meyer hop up kit on the engine for some extra gow! Included a couple of pix to show the direction I am going.
  4. Flip nose Deuce- a started project I got in trade and decided to complete to the original idea.
  5. Flip nose Deuce completed! Sneak peek, more in under glass!
  6. Looking forward to this one!
  7. Fourth in the stash bash. 32 Ford roadster received in a trade. Frame attached to body, not my style of building should be interesting to paint. Looks like a flip front end was planned but front cross member was too narrow and too far forward. Removed and replaced it and added a tube on the grille shell bottom. This allows the back of the hood to meet the cowl properly.
  8. Third completion of the stash bash- Model A roadster. Oops! just noticed a headlight rotated out of position. Next will be a Deuce roadster!
  9. Third model of the stash bash complted- Model A roadster. More pix in under glass!
  10. When you go to mounting the tires, heat them up in hot water to soften them- those wheels are fragile!
  11. check out the new Revell model A pickup containing a repop of the parts pack california chopper.
  12. First 1/25th scale motorcycle in many years! Is this a bonus kit in the new Revell model A pickup?
  13. Preliminary mok up of the Model A roadster.
  14. Number 3 in the stash bash! This one started out as just the green Model A roadster body. Dug out a tubular roadster frame, a chrome tree from the rat rod pickup, and various goodies from the parts boxes. Engine is from the latest rendition of the Revell 32 roadster.
  15. Thanks for all the nice comments- it was a fun build and definitely a possible contestant in the T.R.O.G. races!
  16. Very elegant build- good luck with final assembly!
  17. V16 displacing 1550 cu. in. Dual overhead cams. Twin centrifugal superchargers. Open exhausts- loud!
  18. Second build of the stash bash starting with a Model A roadster body! Added Duesenberg frame rails, Breen Hornet front suspension with modifications, Miller grille, two Bugatti Royale blocks formed into V-16 with dual overhead cams, cord wrapped steering wheel, power steering unit added to sprint car steering, Winters quick change, large disc brakes, and big rig wheels and tires.
  19. Number 2 of the stash bash completed- Biggie Rat! More pix in under glass.
  20. Lots of progress on Biggie Rat- body and interior mostly done except for windscreens, grille, headlights, radiator and hoses installed, front suspension mounting to be fabricated and installed, steering to be built and installed, throttle linkage and fuel lines also to be febbed and installed.
  21. Great mixes and matches! Also one of my favorite kits.
