Inspiration and motivation winning a trophy is kinda cool too, but it doesn't compare to annoying the wait staff at a restaurant by asking for the "swearing" section and having to leave a good tip because your party was so loud!
  2. The BSAC crew will be there at the NNL. See you all then!
  3. My mind is a vast empty space!

  4. Really?!? I thought all the guys dig you and the chicks want to be you! Just kidding! Dan is the stud muffin of central O-HI-YA!

  9. My '59 Ford. It has a 5.0L HO and a t-5 and it's a ball to drive:
  10. Saturday was the LT Model Car show in Lima, OH. A pretty good little show. We had a great time so I thought I'd share. Enjoy! More photos at the link: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v720/Ramcharger/Model%20Car%20Shows/Lima%202011/
  11. Here's some photos from the other night. The turn out was a little thin, typical of the summer meetings. Enjoy! A link to more photos: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v720/Ramcharger/BSAC%20Meetings/BSAC%208-4-11/
  12. Tomorrow night at 7:30 at Panera Bread on State St in Westerville the Buckeye Scale Auto Club will have its August meeting. See you there!

  14. Thursday night at 7:30 at the Panera Bread in Westerville, Ohio the BSAC will be having their annual Cinco de Mayo extravaganza!! There will be chips, salsa, tacos, Mexican beer, pinatas, and lovely senoritas in bikinis dancing on the tables! Not really! Just a bunch of balding middle aged fat guys talking model cars and stuff. Be there or be somewhere else!
  15. We had 263 high quality entries brought by 47 contestants. Trust me, these guys brought out the really good stuff for our inaugural show. Next year we're passing out drool towels to ensure that no dribbles fall on the models. We even had to get more tables brought in because we were hoping for 100-150 entries and were heading for 300 when registration closed. I'm still pretty jacked at how well it went! With such great contestants and vendors it was almost easy. Just so you all know, this one will happen next year, with a bigger model room, of course.
  16. No Problem! Thanks for coming! We had a ball putting it on. Great models, congrats to the winners. The competition was tough. Here's some pichas fer ya! Buckeye Classic 2011
  17. I own a 1:1 '59 Ford car, the Y block was an option, though not a very good one. I believe the 292 flavor was all, because the "new" 352 Interceptor was the hot motor that year. Another cool optional motor was the Mileage Maker Six tractor motor, 145 slightly anemic horses wheezing their way to the boneyard!
  18. Here's some more of the show. A pretty good turnout. Here's the link: BlizzardCon 2011
  19. I understand there may be some representatives from some model car magazines to photograph models for publication. That will be sweet to get some of these fine model cars in print. See you there!
  20. I printed out all of my entry forms last night and shined up my models, I'm hoping to get another one done before Friday night to take on Saturday!
  21. I'll be there! I really excited to get the show season started.
  22. This is coming up quick! I hope everyone has their models ready for this one!
  23. Here's the pics from last night's BSAC meeting. We had a great turnout of modelers and a couple of new guys even ventured in. Here's the models: Mike's Non-Theme winning Nova Rob's Theme winning Hot Rod Great job, guys! More photos at the link: Nov BSAC
  24. ...And we're back! There's the forum banter I have missed on those long days while I'm giving a test to my students. No matter how hard you try to kill it, it comes back. I find all of this highly entertaining.. BTW, after reading this why would a person post a work in progress or a finished model, let alone make any kind of observation or remark about any aspect of this hobby. By all means, don't let that stop you, please continue. It's just little plastic cars and I'm just here for the chicks!
  25. Here's the photos! Enjoy! Here's more! BSAC Oct Meeting
