  1. That's what I figured but then I see some pictures that looking in the wheelwell it looks like a rollbar tube from maybe where the hinge point of the doors down to the base of the shock tower. I have see nsome pictures of the restored cars that show this but not sure if it was like this back in '65.
  2. I am looking for some under hood shots of the Altered Wheelbase hardtop that was campaigned by the Sox and Martin team.I am interested in seeing the inner fenders and how they were modified from stock when the "k member" was moved forward. Would anybody have any to share?
  3. Just seen on Slixx decals facebook page a preview of there up coming Don Grotheer decals for this model kit. Pretty nice looking.
  4. Just seen on Slixx decals facebook page a preview of there up coming Don Grotheer decals for this model kit. Pretty nice looking.
  5. Looking for valve covers to match these. 273 HiPo Small Block for 1965 Barracuda
  6. Here's a little something I've been messing around with. It's not perfect but it will do for me. I got hold of the new Sox and Martin Cuda kit and went to town taping and painting. I use Testors Lacquer Hemi Orange and White and used Scale Finishes 1970 Dodge B5 Bright Blue. This is all paint, no decals. Pictures aren't the best just some quick ones I took.
  7. Yes I am looking at the Hi-Po 273 Engine. Should have mentioned that.
  8. What would be the best source for a 273 small block for a 1965 Barracuda? Also what would be the best choice in a donor chassis? MCW says MPC 69 Cuda for chassis but was looking for more detail. Would Revell Dart or AMT 71 Duster be best since it comes with small block as well?
  9. I agree. I plan on making a triple green 71 Charger after watching Graveyard Carz. Love the look of that Charger on the show in season 1. I have the Charger and have already glued the modelings on for the vinyl top just need to come up with a green for the top. I plan on using the same interior green on the Charger as I have used on the Cuda. Just looking for some different things to put on my shelf.
  10. I went on Classic Industries website and ordered interior paint thru them, bit pricey but it is a 12 oz can that I can use on other models. Sprayed great and did not etch. Then I sprayed some Tamiya Semi-Gloss clear over it to try and make it look alittle more like vinyl.
  11. Here are some photos of sub-assemblies for my Mod Top Cuda. Engine Chassis Interior Trying to finish it up this week.
  12. Seen the Hellcat this weekend at the Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle show. Looks awesome. Ralph Gilles was even there in a Sublime Green one and did a great burnout in it. The video is all over the net. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMVl7FIZkz4 Steve Magnante was there to introduce the Hellcat on Friday, this was a black one.
  13. Got my Lemon Twist Cuda finished, need to get some pics. Working on trying to complete my Mod Top Cuda now. I do have one of the Sox & Martin Cuda kits now and have been messy around with trying to get it painted up as well.
  14. Dave Van appears to make the Bobby Allison decals for this car as well as some others. http://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/penngwen-hobbies-decals/bre51085.html
  15. This past weekend, I seen a 55 or 56 (not 100% sure which) Belvedere 4 door, Purple 69 Mustang with blower sticking thru hood, 57 Bel Air convertible, 69 Camaro, a few Corvairs, 72 Camaro RS. Harry, I've seen a White Telsa around my area for a few months now. For what it is, it's niec looking car. I myself prefer the older styling of the cars.
  16. Seen it in the magazine and loved it. Great work. I have enjoyed seeing your work. Please keep sharing your work with us. Great looking model.
  17. I am greatful for the model companies molding new and reissuing some great models but, what is it with them that they seem to not be able to model the seperation line between the the front fenders and rocker panels? Is it me or does it seem like more cases then not the don't have the panel seperation molding into the bodies? It's a fairly easy scribe to do but it would be nice if they would do it. For instances look at the new 1970 Cuda that Revell has done. I am on my 3rd one (2 Stock and 1 Sox kit) and have had to scribe it into the bodies. There have been many others here of late that I have notcied that don't have all panel line molding in. It's not just Revell thats doing either.
  18. I just noticed in the last picture there are no wheel lips around the wheel openings on the rear quarters or front fenders. Could they both be trimmed out for larger tires?
  19. Just found this picture on the Facebook group called "Nostalgia Pro Stock". It was posted by member Tom Schlitz from the 1970 SummerNationals. Colors look very bright to me. It's a great pic to me. I'm thinking close colors to be B5 Blue, Hemi Orange and white.
  20. Brett, I have seen those photos as well, thanks for posting them. I did forget to mention one picture I posted was of a '70 and the other a '71 Cuda, my bad. As far as Sox colors and getting help from them, Grotheer was involved in the Clinics as wel from what I have read (I wasn't around back then as I was born in '77). I thought the Sox's cars was more red then what I have seen on the Grotheer cars? The Blue does look similar to Ronnie Sox's roof color. Then if you take in consideration the diecast that was done I believe by SuperCar Collectibles, which claim that the try to make them as accurate as possible, it does appear to be more Orange then red. https://www.performance-years.com/Product/1970_Plymouth_Cuda_Pro_Stock_Don_Grotheer_2075.shtml If you look at some of his late 60's cars they look like a different blue as well. I don't if he would keep them close color wise into the 70's or not. Then I found this shot of what appears to be a 1971 Roadrunner that he ran as well.
  21. What would be the correct colors for this car? I have seen pictures from A blue that looks close to Corporate Blue to B5 Blue? I've seen anywhere from Red to Orange as well. Any idea guys?
  22. Now that the Sox and Martin Cuda is out, any time table on the Don Grotheer decals?
  23. There's one on the bay as a partial build-up. Looks like typical MPC funny car builds that sit to high. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BOSS-BIRD-ARNIE-THE-FARMER-BESWICKS-F-C-NICELY-BUILT-NICELY-PAINTED-/360967110585?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item540b50ffb9
  24. Just recieved mine and the Plymouth decal for the quarter panel is not corret from pictures I have. Revell has the letters striaght up and down where on the real car the have the typical lean to them. Looks like we will be needing the Slixx decals afterall. The Sox and Martin name and the Plymouth name doesn't really show the correct look like the Slixx decals has as well. Overall great kit alot of potenial with it. Now lets hope Revell will re-engineer a "All New Tool" Challenger. Lots of potential out of that as well.
