Your opinion wanted!
LoneWolf15 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ok , Harry . Drag and NASCAR stay as they are , those guys have their own click and it works for them . I'm not a NASCAR guy but I do visit the drag section each day . Under glass competition section , I'd like that ! This way , I get to see a little bit of everything , competitionwise . Digging through drag and NASCAR combined really doesn't appeal to me . Any other way , I'll side with Johnny , if it ain't broke , don't try to fix it ! -
2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
In the home stretch now ! Bed is complete , all major parts are built and in place , just a matter of adding the detail as I go along ! -
Cowl hoods ..... Ed Fluck at drag city casting !

Slixx. Com for decals . No need for clear over bare metal foil .

A brass brush , you can pick one up at any hardware store , looks like an oversized tooth brush . Lightly draw it across the surface , you can then scrub lighter shades of red pastel chalk into the surface with a regular tooth brush . You can then dry brush some highlights into the scratches using steel or aluminum colors to indicate fresh scrapes or rust to indicate older injuries to the body .

Hmmmm , I know you didn't show Mama Suarez that deck lid , I'd have heard that skillet hit all the way up here ! Lmao ! All right , you did the old broad proud ! She can still shake it , no doubt ! Now , you need to start on a young thang with all the shine that youth can provide !

GETTING STARTED (Revell Style)
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Trouble being , your daughters will be kicking your posterior end for getting their kids all covered with rust , dust , and corruption ! I get yelled at all the time , I just laugh and point towards the laundry room ! -
2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
We've found that the pointed rods just pin the zombies to them and they then have to be pried off . A bit dangerous and too up close and personal for my tastes ! I'd rather play slice and dice with the big diesel providing the muscle behind it and be done with it ! Lol ! Once the rear deck is built , it will prove to be a complete multi purpose vehicle . More to come ! -
Who told you that big fat lie , Mr Most ? Pro street is alive and kickin' here in Yostville ! Please carry on , Sir ! This certainly has my attention . Of coarse, this build will have a shine to it .........right ?

2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Well , you have my update , Doc . The second Pete won't be in until Friday afternoon , so I went back to the shiny side of things for a bit ! Once it arrives, I can graft the rear axles onto the existing frame and then measure out and scratchbuild the rear section . -
As everyone knows , my vote goes with the bottled Testors enamels . When cut with cheap laquer thinner and shot through an airbrush , they really have no peer . I also use the Metallizer line exclusively , both bottle and spray can . I like the Floquil laquer line when it comes to weathering , I have also used other laquer lines without any problems . If you know your product , develop a system to use it , and follow it to the letter , you'll eventually master it !

Manny , You're a smart man , think about it ! There are ways and then there are ways , capice ? Too many licensing fees , people that say no to them , etc ! Yet , you are still able to build that particular drag car , right ? Trade off what you don't use or want from the sheets . Go to their site , look at the decal sheets and start putting two and two together , you'll catch on soon enough ! By the way , really enjoy your work ! The Old Man

STRIPTEASE 49 MERC (The Sultana of Old Burlesque)
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in WIP: Model Cars
. T , Virgil is out of town at the moment . He is consulting with an interior designer for the burlesque theater's accessories . -
It was not a hoax , not a game or plot to increase sales . Piracy , slow sales , licensing fees , etc , forced the initial decision ! As far as I'm concerned , we just dodged a bullet . The hobby can ill afford to lose this company or the individuals that run it ! Drag race freaks would agree wholeheartedly ! No conspiracy here , just two people struggling businesswise with the times .

2012 POST APOCALYPSE/ZOMBIE HUNTER COMMUNITY BUILD
LoneWolf15 replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Community Builds
Nope ! I just haven't found a way to type and build at the same time ! Doggone Generals are always assuming stuff ! Lol ! Tires are finished , weapons are prepped , more detail has been gathered and prepped , and I started scratch building the rear deck ! Tell the General to stick that in his pipe and smoke it ! Battery went dead in the Mustang , I couldn't use the airbrush today ! Otherwise , I'd have all of the aluminum painted and weathered ! Tell the General to go find a fire hydrant ! Lmao ! -
Paging Dr Cranky
LoneWolf15 replied to Lownslow's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If it does , I'm chaining him to a post in the shop and putting him to work ! Of coarse , I'll feed him a variety of Primanti Bros sandwiches on a regular basis ! Doc would be in his glory ! -
Please do not go near the community build section . Your blood pressure might rise quite a bit . The dark side called .... I answered ! Lol !

Frank , Doc is buried in the shop with a new build ! He'll resurface soon enough , just as soon as the laquer cloud dissipates ! I hope ! Lol ! -
Use the Testors clear top coat ! Enamel with enamel , you can't go wrong ! It will really bring the pearl and shine to the forefront . Always happy to hear that the DVD helped out ! Good for you, fun wasn't it ? The Old Man
