  3. Im not offened Doc on the contrary I appreciate all the comments that come in (it only serves to make us better builders)and I hope my lack of inflection didnt move you to believe I was upset. No harm no foul!
  4. HEY ! Richard Im good buddy it has been a while glad to see you around. the car is starting to come together, thx for the compliment bro
  5. Be careful Dr. when you use words like "all" because the majority of my work is accurate as stated above the brakes are just mocked up and will sit correctly once I put it together. And if I have made mistakes in the past and they were pointed out those mistake were also corrected. Im not claiming to be perfect I just try to do a good job at what I do. Which brings me to why add all the detail? Because thats sir is what I do. Thanks for your observation
  6. Hey Mike they do bolt up to the hub if you look close you can see the bolt holes in the rotors, I just have them sitting there (mocked up) untill im ready to put it all together, I sat it up there and it fell apart I just didnt push it all back together before taking the pic. Thank you for the concern tho I really apreciate it.
  7. Very well done my friend!
  8. Umm.... where can I find these ??? functioning or not....
  9. Thanks Joe i hope You can get that together, Dr. David Thank you much for your sincere compliment , but i believe you can do whatever you set out to do. Big Ed (larry) Brother its good to see you around again ,you and me go way back like two flats on a cadilac (whatever that means ) Thanks for joining me on yet another build. I have a small update I was able to put together the double brake system with carbon fiber brake disc (disc from Micro Nitro) I'll plumb it all tomarrow I hope you enjoy. heres a mock up , actually you wont even be able to see these once the wheel is on , why do I do this to myself.... Sorry it so short ill try to have a better update tomarrow im soo sleepy
  10. I for one would like to thank Virgil for taking the time to make things a lil different here in the forums. My hats of to you and thank you for sharing the many works of art weather thay are yours or belong to some other artist. Bravo Dr. Cranky!
  11. Hey Thanks Cesar its good to hear from you my brother. And I'll keep showing it as long as you guys will allow me. You guys keep saying that but I feel like im flying by the seat of my pants LOL! everything I do is a new experience for me. Thank you for the sincere compliment.
  12. Yep Bart I did mess that one up , and the sad part about that mess up is I know better. I would have never been able to hook up the rod between the pedal and the cylinder. Ill fix it tomarrow and re-post pics thanks for spoting that goof up.
  13. Heres a lil more on the brake cylinder. i was able to get it painted and installed in the car its also partialy plumbed as well. I was also able to get the pedels in place and i'll connect everything up tonight. I hope you enjoy! Heres the plumbed and painted brake cylinder you can see in this pic the cylinder installed under the seat. here the pedals have been installed..... oh and I started the fire surpression system... Ill be back very soon with another update.....
  14. I like it !
  15. Quit simply this is the best definition Ive seen yet. My 67 chevelle was a muscle car when it came of the factory line, but now it is pure street machine now that I have modified it.
  16. WOWWEEE!! great job on this car the paint looks sooo wet!!
  17. nice progress can wait to see her standing on her own wheels
  18. Harry has provided you with an excellent list of tools and supplys. And as your skills and needs grow so will the type of tools and supplys you use. I think we all (old timers or guys who have been building for multiple decades) started out with testers glues and paints. But you will find soo many new helpful supplys now. I have hundreds of tools and supplys I use and just recently (after almost 40 years of building and im almost 45 now) I purchased a milling machine because thats the level of building im into now. dont run out and buy a milling machine but do keep your eyes open for things that will help make the job or project youre working on easier. Soon you'll have a custome collection of tools that fit your building needs.
  19. I have to agree and disagree with everyone!!! hehe im just tring to stay neutral but to my experiance custom class in a contest usualy means work the builder has done to the project, it may be paint , addon's and so forth. If you add seatbelts to a build that didnt come in the box it is nolonger box stock it is now a custom. it is that simple.
  20. Hey Virgil why dont you mention some of our over the seas brothers in styrene for us here.
  21. What an honor that has to be! (is that jelousy I feel welling up inside of me lol! Nah!) Thanks for sahring that with us here at MCM. And welcome aborad James cant wait to see you posting up some art here in the forums
  22. Thanks Bart for making me aware of that and rest assured I wont cut again untill the Can gets here. Also Id like to add that brass building was outside my comfort zone too untill I started this project, This is my first project of this type I learned as I progressed. With that said I'll finish with this statement , I have seen the work you can do and I believe you would excell at brass work you just have to do it.
  23. I totally agree with you Jack a good 1/16th scale P.E. set would make the developer a good piece of change for sure, and I wish you well on your project.
  24. Hey Johnthe pedel order is correct there just upside down so you can see the tabs I soldered on. Thx for your sincere compliments Hey Chris as alway thank you for your support and know that your builds are always a insiration.
  25. oh I forgot to add the pedels... I had to add tabs to them so I can hook up the links, once everything is cleaned up I'll install it all in the car.
