  1. Having had friends that have dealt with addictions ranging from a bit silly (shoes) to drugs, alcohol and some other bad stuff, I hope the hobby gives you enough peace of mind to concentrate on looking ahead in all parts of life. And yes, Supervalu is in trouble. They recently sold off their New Englnad branch, Shaw's and Star Markets to an investor group to try and gain solvency. Charlie Larkin
  2. You NEED to stop hiding all your stuff, Peter! This is just great, black engine or not, that's one of the nicest Duesenburgs I've seen built. Someday, I'll have the courage enough to get back to all of my Monogram Classics and get them built. Charlie Larkin
  3. Those are beautiful, Joseph. If I can figure out something to use them on, I can guarantee I'll be ordering a set. Charlie Larkin
  4. Very pretty car, Peter. Up to your usual standards of well-done. A question for you: how do you keep your models in such nice condition? Charlie Larkin
  5. That came out very nicely, Peter. The two-tone is an interesting treatment on this, too. Charlie Larkin
  6. I LOVE this! It makes me so happy to see a rep-stock '49-51 Merc. I'd love to see someone have the guts to try and make a 1949-51 4-door with those cool suicide doors. Charlie Larkin
  7. I love that 300. I saw pictures once of one in Burgundy with matching leather buckets and a white vinyl top. That's probably what mine will end up as. The only change I'd make is the area between the taillights should be semi-gloss black. http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Chrysler_and_Imperial/1968_Chrysler/1968_Chrysler_Brochure/1968%20Chrysler-17.html Overall, though, those are superb models. Very well done on all counts. Charlie Larkin
  8. I'll be looking forward to seeing this in a couple of weeks, Mike. I might even have something to bring, myself. Charlie Larkin
  9. Nice job on that AlClad. Some people seem to have trouble getting it to work well on big parts like that. Good to see you didn't. Charlie Larkin
  10. He's at it again. And having seen the '72 up close and personal, I can say without hesitation you'll like the resin kit! I'll look forward to seeing this progress, Ron. Charlie Larkin
  11. That's coming out nicely. The Revell sprinters are nice models when put together. Charlie Larkin
  12. I understand the chassis can be a bit fiddly. I have mine downstairs that I plan to do sometime sooner rather than later, and I'll let you know. Charlie Larkin
  13. Second that. Charlie Larkin
  14. Al beat me to it, but I was thinking that looked very much like the Alpine White/Chrome Green. And it's beautifully done, too. Charlie Larkin
  15. Very nice, Peter. Charlie Larkin
  16. Looks like those headlights got adjusted a little, which did appear to be needed. As usual, Art, your builds are fantastic. Bringing that with you to Classic Plastic? Charlie Larkin
  17. Unimogs have a huge cool factor. Well...and just a huge factor. Nice job with this, Carl. Charlie Larkin
  18. Major differences in the two cars from the looks of it. Mike, we KNOW you can do a quality job- that van showed that. And I know you'll do a good job with this. Charlie Larkin
  19. To quote Tom McCahill, "so cute, you don't know whether to pinch its cheek or swat it." It is a cute little truck, that's for sure. Charlie Larkin
  20. Creative repair to a goober, and well-done to boot. Charlie Larkin
  21. Gorgeous. Charlie Larkin
  22. Nice, clean build. Charlie Larkin
  23. Not a custom at all! That's exactly how they came from the factory. Read here: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Lincoln/1941_Lincoln/1941_Lincoln_Zephyr_Brochure/1941%20Lincoln-08.html Charlie Larkin
  24. I LOVE it! As those Continentals were one step short of bespoke, that color is quite possible, whether "correct" or not, although it's pretty close to the second iteration of Darian Blue. http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.aspx?image=1941-Lincoln-pg01.jpg It's builds like this that make the hobby shine.
