  1. Simple, mark the box as "original 1958 tooling." If you still don't get it after that, you never will. Charlie Larkin
  2. So, they are right...eventually. Charlie Larkin
  3. You have nothing to be ashamed of at all. Great job. Charlie Larkin (Descended from Nova Scotians)
  4. An excellent outcome. Mine will be dark blue with a white top and blue interior. Not so sure about the RWL tires, but the Magnums look really nice on that car. Almost like Chrysler's answer to a Buick Wildcat. Charlie Larkin
  5. Hmm, these may be closer than originally believed. Charlie Larkin
  6. Without question one of the most talented builders in America today, folks. Bill, I hope we'll see you at NNL-East and this will be in tow. Charlie Larkin
  7. I think the white top would be striking. An interesting option for the interior was a metallic-finish red leather. That would make a lovely car. Another nice option would be a representation of the tan vinyl interior. http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/NA/Chrysler_and_Imperial/1966_Chrysler/1966_Chrysler_Brochure/1966 Chrysler-08-09.html Charlie Larkin
  8. I like it. Nice to see something besides psychedelic colors or black. Charlie Larkin
  9. These have very high potential. For the Impalas, even if AMT made alternate body/trim/interior molds for their really nice '67, that would work well, too, as opposed to an all-new tool. Charlie Larkin
  10. Very nice work. I'd recommend getting some clear Vyco drafting board mat to put over that wood for added protection. Charlie
  11. That really did come out nicely, Eric. Rather interesting- the body itself is so short in proportion to the hood! Charlie Larkin
  12. Utterly superb. Excellent model, great photography. Very, very well done. Charlie Larkin
  13. It's an Avanti, what's not to like? Great job on this. Charlie Larkin
  14. Welcome. Warpage can often be addressed with submerging the part in slightly hotter than lukewarm water, bending to correct position and holding flat while cooling. Charlie Larkin
  15. I was able to find 1933, Eric. Copy and paste the plate you make, and shrink it to appropriate size in Paint or Open Office Draw (my preference.) This is coming out very nicely. http://www.licenseplates.tv/1933-indiana-state-l-1631.html?= Charlie Larkin
  16. That looks great, Dave. I wasn't really planning on getting this one because it's not a real hot-button model for me, but these pictures changed my mind. Charlie Larkin
  17. What a piece of junk! I mean that in the nicest possible way. About the only thing I would've done is to paint the wipers and window trim with a mix of steel and silver to simulate weathered, dulled stainless steel. Charlie Larkin
  18. Nice to see that together, Tom. The end results are outstanding, as is usual for your work. Charlie Larkin
  19. I remember somebody was offering a conversion for the Revell 1950 Olds to the fastback. I don't believe it was Hendrix or Flintstone (although I could be wrong- there's don't look like they're designed for it.) Anyone have a pointer in the right direction? Charlie Larkin
  20. Remarkable recovery. Charlie Larkin
  21. I taught for ten years. Trust me, the joy just isn't on the part of the student. Charlie Larkin
  22. I certainly hope all of us can agree that it is this philosophy that must be our common enemy, even if our sub-interests in cars are not commonly shared. I've signed that petition and helped circulate it. I encourage all of you to do the same thing. Want to stop it? Be heard or suffer the potential consequences. Charlie Larkin
  23. That looks great, Tom. Charlie Larkin
  24. Sad and funny at the same time. On both counts. Charlie Larkin
  25. Very sad to hear this. One of the best bands of the last fifty years. I love their music. Charlie Larkin
