  1. Think? I'm quite certain. Charlie Larkin
  2. From a drug-induced nightmare! Much like that car. Charlie Larkin
  3. Happy anniversary, Ray. The Cowsills were a somewhat local act, being from Rhode Island. When we had stations that focused on 1950s-early '70s music, they were played regularly around here, so yes, I'm familiar with them. "Happy" I think was the song they usually played. Charlie Larkin I stand corrected. The song in Harry's video is the one they usually played. One of my favorites.
  4. Pity. See if she'll come to NNL-East and introduce her to me! I don't have a wife to spoil all the fun! Charlie Larkin
  5. I agree with Bill. Micro Center and Tiger Direct both have excellent buys on good re-furbs. Staples does too, once in a while, and Staples will also offer free shipping to their store for pick-up or fairly reasonable shipping to your house. Charlie Larkin
  6. Nice build. It would benefit from an outside photo to better illustrate the color. Charlie Larkin
  7. Looks good. HO scale? Charlie Larkin
  8. Nice job. I remember seeing a couple of those in solid charcoal, and I thought they were pretty sharp. And yes, Dennis, Stefanie Kramer was a doll. Charlie Larkin
  9. You've done your friend proud. Great job. Charlie Larkin
  10. ^ This. I would seriously be in for at least 8-10 of these. Charlie Larkin
  11. Something I never would've expected. An AMT 1/6 283 Fuelie. Looks very nice. I haven't even removed it from the shrink-wrap yet, but it advertises 300+ parts, and looks pretty cool. Charlie Larkin
  12. Fantastic! Almost makes me wish I was still teaching, I could use these for some real time fillers and a lesson in a lot of different things. How it all intersects. Charlie Larkin
  13. One crazy aunt- free to good locked attic. You supply strait jacket and padding for attic. Charlie Larkin
  14. He beat me to it. If your electrical system is Lucas, smoke leaks are symptomatic of a real problem. The real problem being Lucas electrical systems. Charlie Larkin
  15. Wow, you did some good work with that. I would've seriously considered swapping in the running gear from a Revell '72 Olds and the engine from a Revell '66 GTO with this kit's 4-bbl intake. Charlie Larkin
  16. I spent a very nice evening with a friend from high school and his family last night for Christmas Eve. As the amount of family I have dwindles at an alarming rate, it's good to know that I have people who want me around for the holidays. Charlie Larkin
  17. ^This. 68 as of 3:24 according to Channel 25. I'm going out for a little walk before it gets dark. In short sleeves yet. Charlie Larkin
  18. I've never understood why Chrysler chose to use so much less rust-proofing, or it didn't work as well? The GM cars especially seemed to hold up much better, and you would expect it would be comparable. It all must've come down to assembly quality. It seemed though, that if you got a good F-body, you actually did get a pretty good car. The problem was they were few and far between. Charlie Larkin
  19. My local plastic pusher had them come in yesterday, with another one or two on the way. I might be grabbing one today, otherwise next week. Charlie Larkin
  20. Very nice build. Definitely a very thoughtful gift, too. Charlie Larkin
  21. Wow! Absolutely superb work. Charlie Larkin
  22. I use the shoe-box-size Zip-Loc containers for that. They work very well. Charlie Larkin
  23. I agree, it's quite expensive for what you're getting in terms of size especially. The new LaCrosse, though....if the price stays about where it is, will be a pretty good deal relative to what else is out there now. Charlie Larkin
  24. That looks great, especially the vinyl top. I might try that technique myself. I have one of these; I've heard the Duster is coming back out, so if I can grab that (or at a show cheap,) I'll build it. Even then, I might anyway simply to get it done. Charlie Larkin
  25. That Olds is awesome, as is everything else. Charlie Larkin
