  1. Wow, excellent job.
  2. Jim, although I agree that it's possible, I'm just trying to figure out a less complicated way.
  3. Mike, thanks for the great idea, but these are those water transfer tats, you know . . . AND THEY look very delicate indeed.
  4. Looks good so far. Keep it going.
  5. Bring it on, it's going to look good. If this is your first 49 Merc, get ready for some heavy duty addiction because this will not be your last. Keep it going.
  6. Thanks, Shane and Paul. The reason why I ask is that my daughter brought home a couple of sheets of these very cool AVENGER tattoos, and they look to be about the right size for 1/24th models. You know how the Doctor's brain is wired, so I started thinking that I could use them . . . as they are but wanted to know if anyone else has had experience with them. I also ran across a couple of books on Tats at Books a Million and a couple of them bring a plethora (yes, I used the word. LOL) of examples that would also fit our scale.
  7. Has anyone used these tattoo transfers for model car graphics? My understanding is that they don't work like decals, but do require water. If you've used them, could you please chime in with your experience using them. Thank you.
  8. That are scale cards you can buy that helps keep your scratch-building straight. I think I got mine from EZ Scale Card or some such place.
  9. Every time I see a photo like this I always remember that Harry is a master at Photoshop . . . not a hint, but I think this one is a model.
  10. Jim is right, Coast Airbrush seems to be faster, and I've never had any problems with them. I buy most of my supplies from them.
  11. Gorgeous build, Anthony. Congratulations.
  12. Haven't tried it, but I'd like to . . . has anybody done a comparo study between it and Alclad?
  13. Matt, super cool. Never get tired of seeing different takes on this kit. Excellent mapping and chipping on this weathering job. Congrats.
  14. SUPER FANTASTIC TAPING TECHNIQUE! LOVE IT, thank you!
  15. Some more: It's looking real good, Donn . . . here's the last one you sent in:

    Caddy lowrider

Looks good in those colors, blinged out.
  17. I like it, Ed. I never get tired of seeing interesting 32s.
  18. All right folks, back at the bench, and trying to make some progress I can show you. Stay tuned in for more.
  19. I too am watching this one. Keep it going. In my book not style or subject matter is DEAD. Everything is alive and kicking, and if I need to build it, I will, so do carry on, Chuck.
  20. For my purposes, I like to use Vallejo Model Air (for the weathered stuff I build) and then HOK for the shiny. Get consistently good results.
  21. Spectacular build, Curt, and you've ended up with a great model to be proud of in your collection. Congrats.
  22. Greg, what is your question? I ask only because I just bought some Shimrin2 as well but have not used any yet.
  23. I grew up in the 70s in Los Angeles, so I like the late 60s and early 70s vehicles, but mostly lowriders, customs, vans, surf buggies, etc . . . I think most of us like what we saw and grew up liking. Which is the reason why I am delighted to have some of those 70s van kits back in circulation.
  24. Totally agree with Mr. Most, but I would also add that you have lots of freedom on this forum as long as it is clear to everyone you are not trying to start trouble or reopen old wounds.
