  1. LOL, I told you I have lots of Willyses! Ed, it's called insomnia and OCD, there's really no other way to explain it. Then again, it could also be E.S.A.= Extreme Styrene Addiction! Hope to see how you guys line up yours!
  2. I had to climb on a ladder to get this birds'-eye-view:
  3. All the years I've been watching so many of you build and I start to think about how many gems and jewels you each must have in your own collections. And I ended up doing something I've been wanting to do for a few years now, and that is bring out the entire collection and lay it out on the table to see how much work has gone into the last 15 + years of building, add or take a few years. From the rattle can days to the airbrush, from rust to shiny and BACK. LONG LIVE RUST. LONG LIVE STYRENE. I would like to dedicate this thread (and the idea behind this) to Chuck Most whose work has been a real asset to me in terms of inspiration, and the fact that Mr. Most has been keeping many of us fully stocked with great eye candy all these years. So, if you are ever bored and have wondered what you got, don't wait around. Take pictures of your own model car lot, your own styrene addiction, and join in the fun. Cheers and here's my own medicine: This is a 4' x 6' table, and there must be a little bit under 100 models on here, except for the many that have been ruined, tossed, given away, and generally recycled. EYEGORE says it's not about quantity, but about quality, but DOCTOR CRANKY says it's all about the FUN! Whether you build slow or fast, it doesn't matter, the bottom line is what's important is the time you've put at the bench, smiling all the way through your own styrene journeys!
  4. Interesting, I think I have that kit somewhere.
  5. Thank you, Damir. I appreciate the kind words, and I see you too are addicted to rust! LONG LIVE RUST!
  6. Thanks, hope you guys keep 'em coming.
  7. I love the paint job. The masking must have been lots of fun. Keep it going.
  8. Thanks, you are on your way to a good build here. Keep it going.
  9. LOL, don't get scared, Wayne, it's only EYEGORE thinking he is photogenic!
  10. I keep coming back to look at that engine bay. Wow, what a nice, beautiful model all around.
  11. Nice progress, keep it going.
  12. Very interesting. We'll stay tuned in.
  13. Wow, that's looking real good. It's coming along beautifully. Keep it going.
  14. Thanks for the working definition, Wayne.
  15. Drew, I use Fotki and I love it. And I usually pay for it every five years or so, it brings me peace of mind. It's easy to use and totally reliable.
  16. Oh yeah, it looks great already. Keep it going.
  17. I say sometimes the best bet is to stay box stock with a build and then add a few subtle details, build up as you go . . . it will be totally satisfying and rewarding.
  18. Wonderful work. If it's any indication of how it's going to go based on that engine, I think you are going to be feeding us lots of great eye candy!
  19. It's got bling and interesting graphics. I wish the pictures were a little better. Looks like a nice build.
  20. Sounds cool. In just a few more days . . .
  21. By the way, I have a prediction to make, which is that this thread will reach 30 pages AND AND AND AND we will still be discussing civilly, and I love that. Express your opinions, it's all RUST, I mean, it's all GOOD! LOL!
  22. Yes, I agree that most rat rods are probably unsafe to drive, but probably also were all the crazy custom Big Daddy did . . . it's all about how the thing looks. Turn to Lowriders. Most of them were not built to be driven, but to sit in an eternal show. Yes, I do have a penchant (I like that word) for rust and gunk and junk, but that's only because I think they belong as an integral part of the hobby. As a builder I like to "refresh" by doing them, and then I can turn my attention to the tense-nerves of a shiny paint job.
  23. Thanks, maties. Chuck, I can make that happen, my friend. Nothing is glued down so I can switch all the elements. How's that for cool? That's why I love these 41 Willyses. They hold together without much glue! LOL!
  24. Oh, John, that's another classic build. Wonderful . . . all the amazing details. I love the "El General!" The General, oh yeah!
