  1. The other day while cleaning out the old loft where I used to have my bench, I ran across a plastic box with about three complete Willyses kits, and so my heart leaped and I decided to quickly put them to good use . . . And came up with these two street rascals. I wanted to capture the contrast between a clean, smooth chassis, interior and engine versus a ratty exterior . . . something perhaps out of Rebel Rodz or Ol' Skool Rodz. This kit will always be one of my favorites by Revell. It builds ultra nice, easy, and you can build one, really in about 3 days . . . Hope you enjoy. The rolling chassis: The interior: The finished models: Stay tuned in for a few more . . .
  2. All right, maties, check out the "RAT RUNNERS" over in UNDER GLASS.
  3. I apply the term loosely to any vehicle that's been modified (Franken-sh-teined) together and it clearly shows the builders personality and or attitude! That encompasses a huge field of possibilities, and I like it like that.
  4. I think this kit would be useful in making some of the vehicles featured in BOARDWALK EMPIRE. Thanks for the great pictures, Art.
  5. Looking good. I like the way this kit builds up.
  6. Lordy, Joe, that's a beautiful, clean and smooth looking truck. Thanks for sharing it.
  7. Nice jeep, nice build.
  8. Sweet. Love the cargo. Nice color too.
  9. I used to have one of these and I think I traded it . . .
  10. Love all these pics . . .
  11. Curt, I love this truck. I hope to see it pulling that trailer one of these fine days. Great work.
  12. Love them, you sure can build a nice model. Thanks for sharing. Congrats.
  13. Nice build. Nice work on the decals too.
  14. Wow, what a fabulous line-up of great looking models. Thanks for sharing your eye candy with us.
  15. That looks real good.
  16. Still no clue, no clue, no clue . . .
  17. What I love about this kit (and you don't get this very often, even with Revell kits) is that is fits together nicely. You don't have to glue the main three components of this kit: chassis, interior, and body, and it will go together and fit and look just perfect. It really is on my top 3 best kits ever list. Up there too is the AMT 1950 Chevy Pick Up.
  18. I think I heard somewhere that there were about 50,000 of these left after DeLorean died and so this company in Texas is starting to put them out . . . and it make sense that they'd be electric, although don't expect to go too fast like Chuck M. said above.
  19. Gorgeous. The color is just perfect. Very classy. Congrats!
  20. Damir, it's done with the usual "Salting" method using two varieties of salt and baking powder: kosher, regular table, and baking soda. You mix all three together, and then you lay down a basecoat color over your primer. Say a rust color. After it dries, you spritz some water and sprinkle the salt where you want some rust to show . . . wait for it to dry or speed up the process with a hairdryer, then paint your final color coat. Remove salt and VOILA: Rust, chipping, mapping . . . you name it, your paintjobs are going to change for the better. Plus it's blast to do. Have fun and enjoy the process.
  21. Harry is going to the show, I believe, and hopefully he will scout new info on kits for us.
