  1. The objective with this build is to do to it, what was done to this one:
  2. Well, if we had to pay a dollar, we'd ask Gregg to hang out at the beach and take pictures of the surfer girls!
  3. Thanks, Henry . . . we'll see how it goes in these first few days . . . I feel good about this kit once again being available. Two years ago when I felt that hankering for building another I ended up paying a pretty petty for one. When I got back into the hobby about twelve years ago, this kit was on sale at Wal-Mart for 7.95 and I must have bought a dozen of them. Built a whole bunch, gave 3 away (the only models I've ever given to friends) and they were returned to me in pieces . . . So I quickly learned several lessons: 1) never give your work away, 2) when a kit you like is available (and that cheap) buy more than you need, 3) a good kit is worth building several times. Needless to say I am one happy camper at the bench.
  4. Here's a video to go with the start of this build . . .
  5. Finally, I got the new MPC kit, and I'm so excited to get my hands another one. It's my favorite kit, so here goes a new build . . . hope you guys stay tuned in for the fun of the gunk & rust! LONG LIVE RUST! I am going to use all the new parts too, including the front bumper board (I will use real wood though) and the roof light, etc . . . and I've gone ahead an built from scratch a bed frame to hold wood, tubing, tools, etc . . . All the body modification shave been made, and now it's ready for primer . . . Stay tuned in for more styrene fun . . . .
  6. Thanks, Steve. Actually I would have rather gone with some other tires and wheels, but this is for a YOUTUBE contest that neither permits low riders nor donks, nor rat rods . . . they only accept factor stock or custom, so I have always wanted to see one of these big boats with wide whites . . . I think once I get the color on there (and possible graphix) this might help. Stay tuned in. Thanks for the tip on the bumper . . . let me see what I can do . . . Thanks, Rob . . . I am testing out some House of Kolor colors, so I will make a decision on what color shortly . . . thanks for staying tuned in . . .
  7. Can't wait to see it in paint. Nice kit. Lots to do on it.
  8. Wow, nice model. I really like these big rigs.
  9. Here's a linked video of what I'm planning to do to this one:
  10. Folks, I'm working on this vehicle from the new MPC kit that comes with a trailer. Right now I've started working on the car . . . It took me a while to come up with the right tires and wheels . . . but The Modelhaus (170 resins) came through. The rims are from the parts bin. I smoothed out the sides, removing the drip guards over the windows and the insignias . . . I still don't know what color this one is going to be, but it's definitely going to be done in House of Kolor . . . Stay tuned in for more progress . . .
  11. Oh my, this one is going to provide us with lots of eye candy. Keep it going. That frame is looking real good.
  12. Clean, well-built car. Nice model for your collection.
  13. Wonderful looking model, and that engine is AMAZING!
  14. Wow, what a great model. I love the color. I've been meaning to get one of these bad puppies.
  15. For a minute I though you mean an APP for making models. Actually, it would be great to have an app that lets you paint different car models to see right off how they would look. Paintbooth APP! If it doesn't exist, Doctor Cranky calls first dibs!
  16. Looking good so far, please keep it going, it's going to be a winner.
  17. Looking real good. I hope you make more progress soon.
  18. Very interesting. Looking forward to more.
  19. Beautiful model, and great base display. Nice work. Congrats.
  20. FABULOUS work, Seb. Love the fact that you are just as crazy about taking wonderful pictures as you are about your rusty projects. Keep up the great eye candy.
  21. LONG LIVE RUST. You are creating a great foundation with all these details. Go, man, go . . .
  22. I'm currently building (and painting) a 76 Chevy Caprice and I can see why these kits from the 70s are popular. They build into these nice big boats that provide a wonderful canvas for paint!
