  1. Thanks, Gus . . . yes, there will be pictures too in the coming days.
  2. The quick answer is EXPERIMENT on a plastic spoon with the colors you are using and then spray the Clear Effex. I've never tried it, so test it first. And please report back.
  3. Here it is outside, lots of sparkly goodness. Enjoy:
  4. Here it is in all it's sparkling glory out in the sun:
  5. Wouldn't it be great if we had an OCD Part's Central. A place where all the parts where put in their own categories, easy to find, indexed, and then you can just call up and say, do you have a set of . . .
  6. I just use double sided tape and a whole bunch of chopstix . . . and then I also have the wonderful Tamiya Paint Stand kit. It works beautifully.
  7. Nice progress, keep it going!
  8. It's looking great. I hope you make more progress soon.
  9. That looks very good, the rust coming through in spots, nice and subtle.
  10. What a clean and beautiful model. Great job.
  11. Beautiful, you have to finish this one, buddy. It's a must. What a bunch of great work you've already done.
  12. Love the color. Nice model.
  13. LOL! I don't know if you guys remember last year when I got my hands on the 37/39 Ford Pick up, I ended up building three of them in a row. Well, the same here. I just prepped all the bodies and the parts, and then I do a sequence at the bench. At the end of the process I ended up with a few more models than if I just built one. Notice too, I haven't really done much to the interiors. I went pretty much box stock on all of these, except for the opening of the panels. I really enjoy working like this and it brings out the total OCD in me! ;)
  14. I like the color and all those engine details. Nice job.
  15. Wow, nice job. I likes it!
  16. The next one is already up in the lights. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them.
  17. Another one near finished . . . one more to go . . . for the Five Fifty-Fives in March. Doctor Cranky's very own "March Madness!"
  18. Thanks, everyone. Yes, I am definitely on a big 55 kick. I still have two more to finish for a total of, you guessed it: 5 55 Chevys! Stay tuned in.
  19. I love it, it's got all the right attitude, almost in time for Holloween.
  20. I'm not sure two dollars and some Mardis Gras beads are going to get Doctor Cranky far, but I can see him showing up to Las Vegas or Atlantic City in this thing . . . In particular since he forgot to put the side mirror!
  21. Another Lab-RAT-Ory production . . . hope you enjoy it. Thank you.
  22. It's getting to be high noon and nobody's posted pictures yet. Darn it gosh thingimijiggy pudding . . .
  23. Count me in too, I likes it a lot. Great color and it's a wonderful model. Congrats.
  24. The details in this one are fabulous. Great imagination and the details are going to carry it far. Keep going, you've got a superb model in the works here, buddy.
