  1. Never get tired of seeing your great progress.
  2. Beautiful. I'd love to see more photos of this one including a few closeups of the engine and engine bay. Thank you.
  3. The wonderful details continue.
  4. What a beauty.
  5. Looking real good, great progress so far.
  6. Nice looking model. Clean and well painted.
  7. Darin, I just paid 24.99 per kit for two kits. I don't mind paying the modern day price for a kit if I like it. If the kit companies want to keep putting out good, high detail quality kits, there are folks like me who will keep buying it.
  8. Nice work, I love it.
  9. Here's what I use and it works like a charm:
  10. Oh yes, beautiful in primer, imagine in paint. Sweet.
  11. Some excellent detailing going on with this build.
  12. I have have my acrylics and HOK and some other paint lines all still in good shape. And some of the HOK colors I've bought in quarts and they are still in excellent shape.
  13. Thanks for the kind words and for staying tuned in, everyone. Best, DC
  14. I enjoy it quite a bit, although I wish they would give more time to the actual building and painting of the vehicles and not so much about the antics and the drama set ups. I would love to see a documentary about Foose's are and design training, etc . . . where his ideas come from . . .
  15. Oh, thanks for the clarification, Harry. Nah, I only buy kits to build. Of course I know have quite a collection, but most of them have gotten robbed for parts. So it goes.
  16. A-rodding you will go.
  17. Cool, can't wait to see the paint go on. Bring it on. Best wishes, DC
  18. Bring out the Dremel and cut those suckers off. This is great, it will add some interest to the model for sure.
  19. Mind blowing. You obviously know the vehicles you build intimately, through hands-on or research. Regardless, these builds are real eye candy treats.
  20. Thank you, John, the next projects will get underway tomorrow. No rest for the styrene addicted. Cheers, DC
  21. Yeah, that's what I figured, it's pretty thin. And you want it to be as realistic as possible, so blackening it might be the way to go.
  22. I've been enjoying the comments and I think this is an interesting, thought-provoking thread. Thank you. I do not sell my work, but the older I get the more I realize this stuff will sit here and perhaps will disappear (hopeful my kids will not simply throw away the stuff when I'm gone--I hope not) but I just can't part with my work because I enjoy playing with and photographing my models. Having said that, I do not mind generating a bit of money off books, after market parts and decals, etc . . . all of us know it can get to be quite an expensive hobby so every little bit that comes back to you helps keep you going. Everyone has a right to profit from their art. Why not?
  23. You can do that tattered cover with a kleenex, white glue and paint. It would look very cool.
  24. Looking good, Bryan. Man, how hard would it be to open up that front grill? That would match the windshield intake.
  25. Thanks, everyone. Ray, your Mustang is going to turn out just fine. Take your time and do it the way your instincts are telling you. Looking forward to it.
