  1. I just figured with the difference between elavation, and other conditions between the 3000 mile treck would be different than a closed coarse even a long one. So that even the best carb adjustment would not be the same along the way. Would there not be enough of a difference with just a car running along the way? Just asking Bill because this is your department for sure, trying to learn something here.
  2. Being this is a "race" across the country how much time do you have to stop and adjust the carbs while driving at 120 mph? I understand this is all fictional but EFI would be the way to go for this application.
  3. Sad sight 2 days ago. A nice looking 69 Chevelle that T-boned an SUV of some kind. Trying to drove through an accident scene so no pictures .
  4. My brother had a 73 cb500 thayblooked like a beater but was a great bike. After he had an electronic ignition put on it it was never a problem after that. Even sat outside winters here in MI. I scared my budy on that one day taking him home. I was going to fast at 85. We were 15, no license at the time oops. He picked up a 74 or 75 CB750 that was a creampuff when he purchased it around 1990. Didnt even have 10,000 miles on it. Another great bike. That had way more power than the 500.
  5. On my 1976 Cutlass I used spray foam and news paper on the lower rear quarters where it meets the trunk pan. Worked great for the 3 years I drove it. No more wet trunk.
  6. When the boss lies to your face so bad you cant look at them. I understand more and more every day.
  7. That is if your local Walleys carries models. The 4 closest to me do not. Adrian MI store had some models a month ago when I took the drive but no Demons at all. Still picked up other stuff. Lol
  8. Our county library has rooms for rent cheap if you are a resident. Maybe your county does this also.
  9. Looks great. The copper is a nice touch.
  10. Sorry, i have the release befoe the coke issue.
  11. Give the body a good look over and try to polish it. If you don't like the results you just have to go back a few grits before you paint it.
  12. A nice history of brand, price and bottle design.
  13. Those are from the kit.
  14. I will take a look this weekend Andy, I believe I have an extra set.
  15. A Very nice nod to our brothers to the north. Now I hope it has a Sass Jordan and Rush along with other Canadian rocker bumper sticker included.
  16. Yes the V8 is on the chrome tree. The 4 banger is not
  17. That is a prepainted kit not a snap kit. So they are the same parts as the parts offered above
  18. Have you thought about using the chassis from the revell 70 Torino or cobra? I do like what you are doing here.
  19. They may be the longest a can of paint sprayed from that brand in 10 years before the nozzle cloged up.
  20. Working 4- 11 hour days and then a 6 hour day on Friday. I could work another 11 day on friday but I do not much anymore. 31 years at this shop and 5 years at the one bofore that. Both Over timme shops. A small house on an acre of yard to mow. I also mpw my step mpther grass after Dad passed. Just about over this JOB thing we find we have to do.......
  21. Car manufacture 1st cars in one box. Trucks in another. My spreadsheet is a spiral not book. Number boxes by letter F-1 = Ford cars Box 1. So when I look for a model i can check by brand 1st and not have to go through a big pile of boxes to find the Model I need. I have puchrased the large index cards to switch over because the stash has grown. I grabed a recipe box to store them in. Any way to save time when hunting stops us from buying another because you just can't find it. The way you sort is up to you, but I feel keeping same types together is faster to search. Streetrods and stock drivers in thier own box when possible. Kit number and brand of kit on the card alsp helps.
  22. Body Colors, wheels, and stance came out nice. The miss matched oaint on the hood fits with this comeing from the years of repainted factory paint up here in Michigan.
  23. Nice work with a seldom seen built kit. Nice touch with the wheels. They look spot on to me.
