  1. If you put bigger hole in the upper part you will have slop to make the top straight . Just turn the engine over , put spacers under the heads so the tops of the intake are on the table. Then just fill holes with glue.
  2. John this is looking killer ! I like the direction with the intake. Do not step on it , been there done that with a Bill Elliott stock car body. LOL
  3. Just as hack-n-whack said try and make your own windshield .You can always use a clear two liter pop bottle for your glass. It will flatten out once you cut it.
  4. I second that ! ^
  5. If they seem to differ in the real cars than they are made by the teams themselves. Race car teams make or have parts made the way they want them.
  6. You could find someone that makes decals and have a copy of yours made.
  7. Looks sweet !
  8. He must be buying the first round Kris.
  9. If they would just make the engine parts on a separate tree's . The 50 ford truck engine would be fine. Just paint it Mercury green.
  10. My buddies 49 is that color.
  11. This is spot on . Just to add a few notes . Any way they can save over the long haul is a plus for them. If the tooling is cheaper to make it will be cheaper to fix , and take less time to repair to get back on the floor for production. Complex molds take more time to repair. They are just keeping it as simple as they can.
  12. I have used it the past for kit parts . Drys faster than tube glue, not as fast as super glue. Just give it a try.
  13. Great looking car. I was wondering if this car can be built without the cowl hood and rear spoiler ?
  14. Super glue gel and the tooth pick they talked about . Give it a try Anne what do you have to lose . If you can not get the paint to come off the wire( must be removed after each coat) you can always paint it silver after the fact. You would have a nice raised edge to paint.
  15. Looks great !
  16. Well done. I like the reflection in the paint. Nice and Smooth .
  17. When I had to paint printed stuff back in 1997 we used the thick primer with the filler in it. That way you can cover the layer /grain that it has.
  18. Another nice haul Anne. Just be careful the super glue has a shelf life . You may go t use it in 6 to 9 months and it may be hard . Do not forget your old guitar strings have many uses also.
  19. That is how we did a few of my friends cars . They even won a few awards before the Boyd movement came along.
