Looks great. Nice color choice.

Not sure of total value but I save all of the old tube glue that are in the old kits I purchase. Also old pIt bottles. That Britfix is a tube I have not see before. Only seen the little Tamyia in pictures.

07 Ford Excursion
1930fordpickup replied to Grzegorz's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
I agree 100 % this is amazing. Some one had a sale on the truck kit a few years back, i am glad I picked one up. I was surprised when I seen the current price on ebay for one. -
Sure wish the shipper that was sent to the store by me had the 66 mustangs.

Facebook misrepresentation
1930fordpickup replied to Rockford's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It's your choice to stay off of facebook. I would not be happy about the use of a build without permission . I don't think I would have deleted my account but I don't blame you. -
Check the clearance isle. Some things end up there fast.

Their brand of wood glue foams holds tight but the foaming may push unclamped parts apart. At 1/25th scale you don't need that.

TOO MUCH PAINT!
1930fordpickup replied to goldfinger's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Paint just has to ship ground. So no fast shipping. Give the local car model club a shout if you have one. VFW or American Legion may have military modelers as members. -
You might want to go to pegasus Hobbies and try the wheel selection. There is a large selection and maybe they still have some.

I do not use this but wallmart does offer an In Store pick up. Not sure how it works. You have to watch who is selling the kit but you can pick you local store as pick up with free shipping. Again I have not used it.

Master Engine Builder, Ed Pink has passed away, age 94
1930fordpickup replied to stavanzer's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Sad news for his family. He had a great run to 94. His knowledge with race engines was incredible. -
The wallmart in Holland ( Toledo Suburb) Ohio has them but the 2 in Toledo do not. None in Monroe MI or Adrain.

Removing Exterior Parts - Advice Please!
1930fordpickup replied to Badge73's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
If you are good with a dremel tool and a burr or sanding drum you can make fast work of the high spots. If you are not good, you will be filling more than you wanted or worse. Micro mart have a few chisels and other tools for doing what you are looking for. -
Can I Save This?
1930fordpickup replied to obs.caleb's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I agree with the others and say strip it. Give it a good wash after that with Dawn and Comet and see what you have. This is a Commen kit so if it is a little more than you want to fix as also mentioned above you could get another. It would make a good beat up dirt track race car as another option. -
Perfect Plastic Putty Question
1930fordpickup replied to oldcarfan's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Not many epoxy type products last more than a year. Hey all have an expiration date early on the package. Keeping 2 part bondo in a colder place than normal will extend the life of the tube. I was told this by an employee of bondo brand. He did not say yes I could put it in the fridge when asked, verbally. -

The B pillar change helps the look. I hate to say it but the white walls with caps also have my vote. Maybe a set of babymoons would look good also.- 100 replies

Sources for 8 lugs rims
1930fordpickup replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I believe you can purchase just the wheels from pegasus hobbies. The owners of moebius. Maybe that is just the ramp truck wheels and tires. -
Very cool model you have built. We seen a lot of these body style Camaros headed to Toledo speedway when I worked at a Sohio gas station back in the day.
