  1. Not an easy kit but you've done a fine job. The only really nice Jaguar kit I know of is Tomy's SS100 in 1:32nd scale. Even Tamiya's MKII doesn't look right to me.
  2. I'm a recovering lung cancer patient but after seeing Bill Hines at work I'm thinking of getting some stoggies. Seems to be the secret to a good paint job.
  3. I've never seen a model car look more real than your Camaros! Absolutely 1st class.
  4. Fantastic job! Anybody who knows this kit will be VERY impressed.
  5. In 1970 I was a full-time musician and treated myself to a new (1968) Gibson ES 335 guitar. 5 months later it got stolen out of our tour bus and I was slightly heart-broken. I got the full insurance but I haven't owned a guitar that nice since.
  6. Fantastic build! You have to wonder what sort of person actually bought one.

One of my faves too. I really like you're model - you've overcome the kit's problems with real skill. (I think I'd rather have one of these than a Corvette!)
  8. Christian that looks like a very clean Lada. I'm guessing about 30 years old but well preserved. Nice score. (I hope!)
  9. I've done a lot of painting but I still hear that voice....
  10. Very nice work! I'm got something very similar on the way. I'm using the 62 promo and have painted it in these same colours.
  11. Very fine and realistic detailing throughout, as with all your models. I like!
  12. Nice work! It takes real skill to get these particular kits to look that good.
  13. Very nice! There aren't enough 4-doors in scale even though they're often just as nice as the coupes.
  14. Very nice! I got the painted and assembled "promo" version of this, added BMF and, apart from swirls in the met. blue plastic, it makes a nice model.
  15. Fantastic job! The wire wheels are absolutely perfect.
  16. Fortunately Political Correctness hasn't reached the stage where "flippant" can be confused with "uppity". The former means disrespectful, the latter conceited.
  17. No, I didn't know Hendrix. But since I've been invited to judge for myself I would suggest that Hendrix was being flippant in the above interview and that his peace sign is the real message. His pacifist leanings are perhaps more clearly expressed later in "Machine Gun" (Band of Gypsies). And I would bet my Telecaster, my Les Paul AND my Mesa Boogie that I'm not the only one who heard protest (as well as beauty and genius) in Star Spangled Banner! But of course, instrumental music has always been open to interpretation.
  18. Wonderful! Got that kit for my birthday in 1964, haven't seen one since.
  19. Yeah, and Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds had nothing to do with LSD.
  20. Wasn't Woodstock CS&N's first live performance? And BTW Tom S, Jimi wasn't exactly pro-war either. His version of Star Spangled Banner sure sounded like protest to me.
  21. I bought some of these (instrument dials) and they're nicely printed on glossy paper but they are not decals and have to be carefully cut out (not so easy) and glued in.
  22. I've since found out that New Zealand (pop. 4 million) was represented by 184 athletes. Average per country was 42 - puts a new slant on the per capita score.
