I'll be interested to see how you deal with the little nick at the rear edge of the trunk - probably the body was attached to a runner and simply broken off during production.
Mine has this too and it seems like a tricky problem, the plastic being so thin in this area. I'll let you deal with it first and follow suit .
A nice clean example, looking forward to progress. I love these massive land-yachts! I just got the chrome redone on my '60 convertible and I have a '59 hardtop - which I'll probably never build, but nice to have.
Excellent build Erik, love all the little details you added. I always loved the look but I wasn't brave enough to tackle the full-detail kit so I'm slowly working on the simpler, promo-based version.
Nice build Curt! The quad lights a re a nice touch - "suddenly it's 1958!"
(PS I stand by my use of the word "build" as a noun and see myself at the forefront of language evolution. There are many instances of verbs doubling as nouns.)
Looks like a great find Ron. These were beautiful cars with real character and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I bought a built-up '59 hard-top years ago, covered in flame decals, but unpainted and pretty clean.
