  1. Wow, that is really excellent!
  2. Ixo/Altaya make the nicest 1/24th motorcycles I've seen. They're diecast with plastic, are VERY good value and come in a clear plastic display box. Here's a couple I've bought: OK, just the one photo then, Photobucket being on the blink yet again.
  3. Looking fabulous! Totally realistic finishes throughout.
  4. Tim, more very fine work from your bench. Great looking combo.
  5. Excellent, beautiful paint and interior.
  6. Excellent, looks just right!
  7. Really nice! One of those very rare occasions where I think the custom touches make the car look better than stock.
  8. I really like the look. The wires and whitewalls and the stance - just right.
  9. Really nice combo! Very neat work painting that grille.
  10. Fantastic job, very realistic. I've never done any weathering but if I did, this is how I would want it: subtle, with a used and unwashed look rather than the often-seen rusted wreck.
  11. Fantastic! Beautiful paint and amazing detail.
  12. Beautifully done. We've seen a LOT of great muscle car builds over the years but for me this one is a stand-out.
  13. I SO wish some of my 1.24/5th kits had wire wheels like those. Plastic (and even PE) spokes will never look as good.
  14. Fantastic! One of the nicest pick-up models I ever saw. That wooden floor is SO real and the interior SO right.
  15. Nice!
  16. Tim, another fine looking model from you.
  17. Excellent job - engine, foil and black washes are all spot-on.
  18. Thanks, I enjoyed that.

    55 Nomad

Thanks for further comments, I appreciate it very much. I had 4 cars on my bench this year and the Nomad happened to get finished first. Next will be either an original 64 Pontiac Tempest convertible or Revell's Jag XK120. I can't stop myself working on both. There's also a 76 Cadillac but I may have to abandon it, having taken a chip out of the painted body. Also I noticed late in the game that the interiors in these Johan kits would need major work to look at all convincing. Major work isn't a concept I've ever been friendly with.
  20. That's coming along great! This kit is suddenly rare (molds damaged apparently) but I found one in Germany yesterday.
  21. Incredible work here Bill. Like Steve G. says, I wouldn't have the patience - but I wouldn't have the skill either. It's WIPs like this that liven the forum up.
  22. Steve, I'm not sure who he meant but I hope you're well again anyway - and your Dodge is looking amazing, specially with the whitewalls.
  23. Beautifully done, top to bottom! If only Tamiya would do some American cars from this era.
