  1. I got a revell merc yesterday, it came with two packs of axle pins and exhaust tips.....at least I think they one is extra.
  2. That front end is a work of art !!! is that all you? Or is it aftermarket? Great job !!!
  3. They had "hey days" back then .....? just kiddin, I was just suprized by the plot, and well...the acting to be honest.
  4. I'm staying the night in Portland Or. for work.Well today I drove around at lunch and found a So-Cal speed shop. They have copys of "the California Kid" Autographed by Pete Chapouris. I've always heard my dad talk about it but never seen it, so I said what the heck. I gota say, for 1974, its a pretty cool little film.
  5. How much do you think you have invested ??
  6. Nope, take any one thing ( almost anyway) you see on here or anywhere else. It's not the first, and won't be the last. Innovation isn't doing something first, it's doing it better. I think that's just as important as originality.
  7. Did you buy the molds ??? Save some for the rest man !! Lol
  8. 2.0l, 600hp awd , 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds OMG !!!!!
  9. Yup yup, its all about the milage. And it will disable itself if your driving it agressivly, I was just pointing out that its there...behind the scenes. Thats all. None of its a big deal. Just interesting where things are going.
  10. It would be interesting to know how old that is and where the writer got his info. Keep in mind, there isI a difference in "owning" a company, and "owning stock" in a company. I kinda miss DSM myself.... But that was more of an afair, not really ownership.
  11. That is awesome. You can totally be the next "traveling gnome" Imagine all the places you can see.
  12. It's not the technology that bothers me, it's the separation that is coming between the vehicle and the driver that drives me crazy. You guys talk about your stick trannys. Did you know most new 6 speeds will shift to the gear the car " thinks" you should be in ? Unless your hard into it ( and having it to the floor is not going to open the throttle 100%, probly 70% or so most of the time) the trans will skip second and some times third, right to fourth. How that for "control" ?
  13. Those are there to help with injector noise and intake drone. Needed? Probly not. But like everything else, one does it and they all have to.
  14. I gota say, I think I like the bel air better.....
  15. How about this then. Most cars are or will b going to electric power steering assist. No hydrology pumps. Just a motor on the rack. And they already have steering angle sensors in the colums for ESP and trac control to detect steering angle vs yaw rates. How long untill the steering wheel is just a switch like the throttle pedal and shift "knob" and a little motor does all the steering like the rest. Heck, at that point you could save all kinds of space that way, and put the wheel anywhere you wanted right? Just doesn't seem right to me. Like someone already said, " technology for the sake of technology"
  16. And don't even get me started on the whole keyless passive entry/run features. We have a few city cops running the new charger with this system. One officer came in very....umm... Hot , for lack of a better term. The normal operation is to walk up, key fob in you pocket, grab the handle and open the door, that worked fine. Gets in, shuts the door, foot on the brake and presses the run "button".... No response. Again, and again no response. Now his radio is blowing up, officers are scrambling for some reason or another, and he is setting in his car pressing a button that's doing nothing. Last ditch effort, he's holding the remote over his head trying to see if it gets a signal, all the time there are in car cameras I'm told, finally get it going. Man was he hot, all because of the "new" stuff.
  17. I do, there were cables behind the buttons, that actualy touched the transmission. The 2012, you have a knob that asks for permission to have forward gears, or reverse. And if it doesnt feel like it, you aint gettin it. There is no "mechanical" connection. Thats the problem I have. Try leaning under the hood of anything 5 years old and "snapping" the throttle...zipp/nahda
  18. There is already a topic on the new Viper, but has anyone seen the new Ram? It bothers me a little, due to the fact that the shifter is completely gone. Now not only is the throttle not connected to your foot, but now you have no connection to the trans other then a little rotory knob. Does that bother anyone else? How far do you think things will go before people will say WTF? Or will we? I know Chrysler is'nt the first to do such things, but as the industry as a whole, I'm not sure why things need to be so automated.
  19. .....I still have the Viper key i cut for my 03 Ram..Trucks long gone, but I hung the key in my model room..
  20. How much weight was saved !! A cheap deck and a few small speakers.. I know, it all makes a difference. The point was trying to make, is that for a super car, they share a lot of parts with very, very low line unsuper cars. Just kinda funny to me. No big deal.
  21. I cant wait to see the ACR version !!!
  22. They can call the SRT it's own brand, but I think it's still more a division. You won't see any cars that are not dodge chrysler or jeep. They still need a base model. I really hope they don't waste the money on such things anyway. I think they can really water down the name if they stretch it out to thin. Time will tell I guess.
