NOT YOUR PUMPKIN CHARLY BROWN
Dragline replied to cheyenne93's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Great color choice on this one. Orange is a color I plan on painting more. Sits just right in the pumpkin patch. -

Beach Bunny needed some bling as her outfit was far too plain. I was going to do some flowers but that would have necessitated removing her and I am not taking her off. So what do you do? If polka dots were good enough for her purple bikini before then they are good enough now. It adds just a little more pizazz..

Nostalgia Fuel Dragster--Blower Manifold (01/28/23)
Dragline replied to Straightliner59's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Such an amazing beginning. Why did you put it away if I may ask? We all have reasons why we do this. Sometimes when we revisit them we have forgotten why. I have done it, perhaps most of us have. I recently opened a 1/4 built project and thought "Why did I stop building this?". I am glad you are back to it as it is so ambitious and is something I am struggling with myself. I have a project that is ready to go with everything I need but the gumption to press forward. Perhaps this build will inspire me. Keep on, I will be watching and cheering you on. -

Nice detailing and the color choices agree with the eye. -
I'm having the most fun building these old Hawk kits. Yes, they're goofy to the 10th power, but much like a Tom Daniel or Ed Roth design there is something inherently right about them. And to think it has been said Americans lack culture. We Americans know how to have fun and that is a fact. I cannot wait to rip the cellophane on the next one. And THAT is what my early years of building were all about.

You made lemonade from a real lemon. The upgrades did the trick. I like it.

Fantastic build. You really nailed it with the blue. -
The pleasure is mine TB. I realized it was an old build once I went and looked at your initial post. I am still gobsmacked as to why it didnt win. I gotya see what was on that table, but I gotta believe nothing was close to this. I suppose over the years you get over it but still. Let me congratulate you yet again on a very fine achievement.
