  1. Don't know why I didn't speak up sooner. These are really nicely done Terry. Your weathering skills are up there and certainly something I can learn from. The armor guys vids on YouTube have helped me in my own endeavors to make things look used.
  2. Yessir, blue and yellow parts for days. It comes with instructions for basing it as well. I found a nice piece of old oak in a pile at a friend's. Had to go through a few to find a straight one. I used some beach sand and hobby Tufts, but made it sparse. I'll find those pics or take new ones. It resides at the antique shop I hang out at and sell a bit on the side.
  3. A classic. Well done.
  4. Both are quite good. That yellow pops!
  5. I have been having the same issue with the light blue decal set for the Mickey Thompson mustang. Those decals are murder. 2 sets and I gave up. I am glad you persevered. It came out quite nice.
  6. I have been looking for this kit. I'll be watching.
  7. Superb work on this. The weathering and chipping is subtle and effective and the figures and also outstanding.
  8. Thanks to all of you. I enjoyed this very much and it was certainly something I never even knew existed. As I understand it these are pretty hard to come by these days, though I suspect if you watch eBay closely one may come up now and again. Thanks again all
  9. Got this at an antique live auction last year. I think I paid 10 bucks. What a gem of a kit. I had to scribe the decking lines but otherwise it's as supplied. Just acrylic paints and washes. And some chipping of the top rail and general wear. That same auction also landed me the old Borax 20 mule team plastic kit. Throw a couple of bucks into the mail and you get this truly epic 20 mule team kit that has a LOT of parts..if I find pics of that I'll post em.
  10. It is indeed fun to go out of a comfort zone a bit. But I think I am more comfortable than I thought. I really enjoyed this build and I think it shows.
  11. Built this last year. Wooden box from the dollar store turned upside down with a few burnouts on it. Kit is bone stock. I used my figure painting knowledge to give Ed his look. This is a blast from the past. I added a couple of shots with the Rodfather next to Ed. I thought for sure the car portion would be smaller, but nope it's a 1/25 scale car he is in.
  12. Now if they could just find the molds for the last one. So we'll done El Maestro, as always
  13. OOB build. It's been a while since I have posted. I am a Warhammer painter and player these days, so it takes a lot of my time and money.
  14. Been a while since I've been here but I was just perusing Modelroundup and noticed the old AMT Mopower AA/FC was on the coming soon page. With a Donovan and unique chassis I would say this is a long awaited kit. Thoughts?
  15. Snake was an original. I am just learning of his journey and will say his presence will be sorely missed. Ever sober and always honest. The way anyone who has integrity should conduct themselves. Model on Snake...
  16. Just learning of Snake passing. He was a valued member and always had an opinion, which I prefer over ambivalence. We are lessened by his absence.
  17. Just, WOW...
  18. Makes it feel like 1986 was yesterday I will always love this body style. Very nice build.
  19. Beautiful car and build.
  20. Very nice indeed Sir.
  21. Dude, I can smell the fuel burning. What a build!
  22. The evidence seems fairly clear. It makes parts chrome and in a very scale way. I think durability is only a minor issue, but it is important that it can endure some minor handling and stay as bright as when first shot. Other than the entrance fee it is a promising product.
  23. You would be correct. Not the shine since that is clear here. But it is delicate to say the least.
  24. I spray Alclad and Spazz Stix over light gray gloss enamel with excellent results. The issue is always handling. Keep it to a minimum and it's good. This hat and valve covers are Spazz Stix.
  25. Seriously cool. Nice paint and details. I have the red car box, I need to break it out some day.
