Beautiful build from stem to stern. Unique, and if you put this on a table you would have the only one. I like that idea.

Serious firepower in the tunage area.

Color? Something different right?

Final mock up before I put it together for good. The belt, fan and hose are all in a very tight area and my eyeball engineering held me in good stead. I scratched up some arm rests so all I have left is to install the rest of the interior goodies. Time to button this up because I have The Rodfather on the bench next and I am itching to start that. It's been a sorta Grail for me and Bob (TooOld) hooked me up with a decal set and I have a Tweedy Pie on standby. Thanks for looking in on my Chevelle. It's a plastic time capsule of an era I cherish in my life. I know many here were also there and have fond memories.

I'm going with these triangular Weiand air filter housings. These were all the rage at one time and are just what the Dr ordered. Idler pulley and bracket are drying and all that is left is a belt and the motor is done. Master cylinder will be installed once this assy is in place.

Thanks fpr all the kind comments fellas. I am really feeling this one for some reason. I miss my old Vega, and those thoughts are what guide this project. Motor is just about done with fuel and electrical finished. I cannot find the PE fret that has all the carb accesories on it. That has all the throttle bits I need. I have a small bag with bits floating in it and there may be enough there to do it. Also, this kit doesn't come with coolant hoses or a master cylinder. A quick rummage through the parts box and some scratch building took care of the glaring issue.

Revell's toughest kit by far. You did a wonderful job and it is meticulous in its construction. I would be proud to display such a nodel.

Extraordinary amount of work. Your passion for this vehicle is obvious with such labor. I will be watching. -

Beautiful build. I like everything about it. -
I will be following along for sure. It already looks the business and it is not even close to being complete. These Top Studuo sets are truly a cut above in terms of added details and I would know. I have the 1/20 McLaren MP4/4 from Tamiya with the Top Studio set as well as the Marlboro decals and the carbon decal set. I am planning on starting it in the spring. I will bw replicating Senna's car of of course. I know the mountain you are about to climb. I will be watching this build closely.

I would paint the spokes and centers in a dark gray for a magnesium look on those wheels. Watching...

Beautiful build brother. Black is always tricky and you truly crushed it. Very well done.

Ready for a museum. These MFH kits are superb. You truly get what you pay for. -
When I saw those blue stripes the Dobbertin car was first thing that popped into my head. The colors are about bang on. The only thing is they are in reverse order dark to light. I got the Chevelle up on 4. The stance is right where I want it.

Suweeet.... Ya done real good fella, real good.

Movie car complete......not happy with it........

Looks awesome, totally awesome! Jefferson let that team have it when his car was found nearly destroyed. Probably led to a 1st round pick. Or at least a full scholarship. -
Beautiful build. Glad to see some trucks come out of hiding. I enjoyed building one and a couple more are planned. A unique subject.

This should be one serious bird. I like where it is going and the work is excellent.

Sort of a mini WIP since I've been so stoked to build this time machine I have not really been documenting my build. Like many here I have fond memories of this kit from my youth. Revell's reissuing this was smart, and adding a beautiful decal sheet and a few options make it a no brainer. Calling this a 2 in 1 is a serious stretch, and the posts lamenting the lack of the 5 hole wheels from the red car are an interesting read if you care to look. So Ill post this when it is complete, but I was so pleased with the look I thought I would show what I had been up to. I am adding a 6-71 with sctatch built pulleys. I am using a MCG PE set for the emblems and goodies it provides. I stole the Keystones from the Landy kit and while they are 1/25 they look surprisingly good. I am raising up the rear ever so slightly with some scratchbuilt coils and shocks. The interior is getting aluminum door panels, carpeting and the PE door handles and goodies. Fireball outer door handles in Molotow. Yeah I know.. The 80's called, they want their Chevelle back.

That is a beautiful build. Very nice color and very accurate.
