Very nice looking build you have there,I bought a built up kit just like yours a few years ago for 5 bucks,it was complete and a decent looking build but I want to really do it justice one of these days,I don't have the instustions or decal but I do have a set of mint SAE decal's I plan to use on it. I hope it comes out as good as yours did.

I for one love it,this kit is way up there on my want to get and want to build list. You have done a great job on this one.

I love everything about it,now I know what color Im going to paint mine.

We all have Our own way of doing things so if it were mine I would do a full on restoration on it then put it in a display case. I agree it is a piece of history but I think it would look much better restored.

To be honest I am one that hates with a passion todays large wheels,and I will not change my mind,but with that being said every once in a while I will see someone build a model with large wheels and I just have to say hey that looks BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH good. And you have not only built one of those models but you change the color on a famous show rod and to me I could actually see the original car being built in that color. You have built a model that not only looks great with the modern touches but I would be proud to have in my display case. My hat goes off to you for a great job done on this build.
