  1. My ‘14 Grand Cherokee Limited is almost to 80k. Still looks and runs great, I can’t get enthused by the WL generation that replaced it, so I’ll be keeping it indefinitely as my winter car and for hauling stuff. My ‘19 Cadillac CT6 is almost to 60k, it’s my primary and road trip car. My ‘87 Mustang GT is at 65k and my occasional weekend fun car. I may buy a late model sports car for another fun car in the next few years.
  2. Got a box from Amazon today, everything looked ok but the cookies were broken.
  3. Yeah, probably why most everything today has power windows...not enough demand for manual windows to be cost effective. In the US I can't imagine there is much demand for manual windows.
  4. Probably costs. Cheaper this way.
  5. I've seen a lot of pics of builds without the quarter windows, always wondered if it was people too young to know the originals didn't roll down. Similar to the quarter windows on the '69-70 Mustang Sportsroof body style..
  6. I believe it's the side window opening, the drip rail has too much of an arch and curve compared to the 1:1...
  7. When I was living in Phoenix, it seems like car batteries would last 1-2 years at most for me. About 15 years ago, I was commuting 50 miles a day in a 200k mile '84 Mercedes S-Class, it never let me down.. The original battery in my 10 yr old Jeep (which I bought in Phoenix as a CPO 7 years ago and it had come from So Cal), recently died, pretty amazing, never had a battery last over a decade (had a date on Nov 2013 on it). Ohio's climate is milder, of course, is part of the longevity. Not sure if the battery in my new-to-me 5 yr old Cadillac is original, I think it is in the trunk.
  8. It's billed as a '70 Torino GT on FB, about the only things Torino-ish is the hood scoop and roofline, the front reminds me of a '70 Challenger grille set into a Buick W nose..
  9. I kind of like the styling on this one, made the rounds on FB pages...
  10. I like the '67 Muscle Car... reminds me of a what if Buick had a F-body.. the last one (Imperial) looks more like a '69 Lincoln up front..
  11. It’s been over 30 years since I’ve driven a RWD car on snow. I recall using snow tires and bags of concrete mix in the trunk and got around pretty well. In snowy climates since then I’ve always had 4WD SUVs w/ all season tires and no problems. I have a 4WD SUV and an AWD sedan now, my vintage RWD cars sit in the garage. But working out of my house, I have the luxury of not going out when the weather is nasty (I really, really dislike ice and fog).
  12. Yeah, I never realized the '79 decklid was shaped differently than the '80-93. Between my parents, myself and my brother we have had a 1/2 dozen Fox Bodies over the years, still have my '87 GT. Heard about the difference and saw pics in a FB Foxbody group I'm in. I haven't seen a notchback in ages....
  13. Ford did something like that with the Fox body Mustang, the first year ‘79 notchback deck lid is flat across the edge crease, in ‘80 they went to a deck lid that curves up and across at the edge to make it stronger. Discovered that factoid just in the last year (my first Mustang was an ‘86 LX notchback).
  14. Not sure if there is much difference between the ‘70 and ‘71 Dusters. What I suspect will be coming eventually might be Pro Stock versions of the Demon and Duster…those might be popular…
  15. Interesting..if the Comets are successful, maybe they will do more Mercurys... I'd really like to see a '68-69 Cyclone...
  16. I remember the 2006 release had a taller hood scoop and different wheels (the Pontiac mags in some versions never made any sense). That box also called it a Duster. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/amt-ertl-38155-1975-dodge-dart-sport-hard-top--1155022
  17. I suspect there will be additional versions of the Demon and Duster coming...
  18. '64 Olds Cutlass AWB Streaker funny car.
  19. Probably the Mach-e...been around a few years, an EV CUV.
  20. Yes. I took a pic of it from a different angle.
  21. At the Plastic Unlimited show (Akron, Oh area) I got an MCW resin '70 El Camino kit and a few parts kits (Revell '76 Torinos, etc) for some future builds.
  22. The Crawford Museum had an open house and car show at their storage and restoration warehouse in Macedonia, Ohio this morning. Stopped there after going to the Plastic Undercover model show.
  23. Fun show. I saw at the AMT table some test shots for upcoming releases.
  24. The ‘79 (‘Bear Bait’) was MPC’s last Chevette annual, pretty sure it has never been reissued.
  25. If you mean the Möebius Ford F-series, Scalemates seems pretty complete. There are more coming that haven't been released yet. https://www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=Kits&q=moebius+ford
