  1. Probably '67-68 Mercury Cougars and '67-70 Mustangs, esp. the '69 Sports Roof and Mach 1. More recent would be the Foxbody Mustang (like my ‘87 GT). Grew up with Cougars and Mustangs.
  2. Fun...I did two concerts back to back in June-- a Friday night Robert Plant & Allison Krauss show in Toledo and the Rolling Stones here in Cleveland on Saturday at the Browns Stadium...I was beyond exhausted the Sunday after....at 54 I don't have the stamina I had at 35...
  3. Probably... I'm using Safari, I don't use Bitdefender. I think it's probably because their don't use SSL on their top page. It's http, instead of https and in Safari it says 'Not Secure' in the address bar before the URL.
  4. Their website loads fine for me, so I'd assume they are still in business. http://www.speedcityresin.com
  5. New release goodies from HLJ came yesterday.
  6. Canada did get it in ‘74, the US a year later.
  7. I don’t think I’ve seen a Bobcat in at least 40 years….my sister had a ‘76 Pinto Runabout. Got it new and it lasted through 4 years of college and a move from Ohio to Arizona and by 1980 was pretty worn out.
  8. The modern 2.3 Ecoboost would be a good swap for a Pinto.
  9. Maybe smooth for pavement or tractor drag racing ? j/k. Maybe missing treaded tires on those huge wheels?
  10. Or the new ZR1 eventually...
  11. Mail call today from Model Roundup—new releases.
  12. Weather starting to feel like fall with nights in high 50s-low 60s…
  13. I like the '85-86 style... my '87 GT has the cheesegraters (which look good in red, IMO). I once thought about swapping out the cheese graters for '85-86 GT lenses or SVO lenses (which are slightly different from GT ones), but have kept it stock.. Top pic was at home on my family farm in 1990 when I had both the '87 GT and an '86 LX (my college car)...the '86 was gone by 1994. Below pic is a few months ago, the restored '87 GT and my '19 Cadillac CT6.
  14. On modern cars I assume it's primarily to clear the large disc brakes.
  15. Saw a deer eating leaves off a tree less than 20 feet from my back slider when I went out on the patio this morning to enjoy my first coffee of the day. She looked at me and kept eating as I sat down and enjoyed my coffee. She moseyed off before I let the dogs out. I have a 4ft fence but the deer hop it easily. Didn’t get a pic of the deer, but it’s the tree on the right of the pic, right off the patio.
  16. Yorkie siblings Lola, Lulu and Jack are almost 18 months old. Lola got a grooming on Friday (second pic) Jack and Lulu next Friday. Raine (senior Australian Terrier on far left of first pic. ). Also have Beardsley aka Turbo Squid, a grumpy senior Chihuahua mix (3rd pic)
  17. Model Roundup has them in stock also..ordered one along w/ the '68 Mercury M100 kit.
  18. I miss that hood ornaments went out of fashion. Another factoid I didn't realize until I looked it up, the CT6 has an approx. 1 inch longer wheelbase than an '80s Fleetwood Brougham. Shorter overhangs account for the nearly 16 inch difference in length.
  19. Speaking of trunk lids, I can open and close mine with the remote. I’m used to that with my Jeep hatch, but this is the first car I’ve had with a remote close trunk lid. Also can open it by waving my foot under the rear bumper (the spot is lit up with a neat Cadillac logo beamed on the ground). And as I walk toward it at night with the remote in my pocket the door handles light up, headlights, etc come on.
  20. Yeah, it’s fascinating. I love the seats on older Cadillacs..very comfortable to sink into. My late father was a Lincoln man, I grew up riding in his Continentals and Town Cars. But I’ve always been more of a Cadillac fan. Used to ride in a buddy’s ‘81 Fleetwood Brougham d’ elegance in triple silver. What a boat. I used to have an ‘84 Mercedes 500SEL. That had some neat features, incl a reclining heated rear seat.
  21. Interesting. I know it has a lot of aluminum, relatively light for a modern full size sedan. I’ve been very happy with it, taking another road trip in it in about a month.
  22. My CT6 has cornering lamps, built into the light tubes. My '00 DTS had them also..it's a nice feature to have. The CT6 is loaded w/ goodies..AWD, heated and cooled and massage seats (memory for both front seats), auto settings for headlights, wipers, HVAC, NAV, heads up display, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, camera rear view mirror, cameras on the side mirrors for parking, power shades for front and rear sunroofs, rear window power shade, power folding mirrors, etc.. all the usual modern luxury car features..alas, no CD player, but I stream from my phone and use Sirius XM instead. I'd like to have an '80s Fleetwood Brougham or Eldorado convertible as a weekend cruiser. Sooner or later I'd like a CTS-V w/ a manual or a CT5-V Blackwing w/ a manual for a fun car.
  23. I have no problem with curbsides..lots of great subjects only available in curbside form (whether a styrene kit or resin or 3d printed resin)...some vehicles have very distinctive engines, and thus I like to have an engine in those vehicles...Ferrari V12s, Ferrari flat 12s, Ford 427s, Hemis, VW air cooled 4s, etc...
  24. I built one of those as a teenager in the late 80s to resemble my 1:1 '86 LX as far as the color scheme..dark metallic gray outside, red inside...
  25. My Cadillac does something neat with LEDs for the front turn signals..there are long thin 'light pipes' on the front edge of the front fender that illuminate white as DRLs and parking lights but flash amber as turn signals..
